The goal to make it 1 - 2 was scored by Lee Siong Nie after 41 minutes, following an opportunistic counterattack down the middle by BDSMFC. Many in the crowd felt the referee was being too lenient when he only showed Grilled's Mohd Safri bin Mohd Kassim a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 42 minutes into the game. 1 - 2 was the score after the first half. This half belonged to Grilled, who controlled the ball 66 percent of the time.
