Changi 3 - 0 Grilled
e crowd of 41894 turning up at Changi Genius Arena today were greeted with some nasty showers of rain.
Erwin Buist was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Maarten Rijks and
Gianmaria De Angeli. Changi decided to use a 3-5-2 set up. Lineup: Sapir - bin Kunju Mohamad, Cevaal, bin Zainal - 泽荣 (Zerong) , Salinas Mila, bin Ismail, Cabrito, bin Hussain - Georgescu, Rusanu.
Grilled tactics involved an interesting 3-4-3 combination. The following players had been chosen: Stacey - Ross, Chinchay, 俊桂 (Jungui) - Josefsson, Pujolràs, Fonseca, Dorogan - bin Mohd Kassim, bin Mohamad, Ying Lee.
Grilled mostly ignored the flanks in favour of their ability to attack in the middle.
Safri bin Mohamad came close to putting the visiting team one up 15 minutes into the match, following a solo raid down the middle, but
Dror Sapir managed to tip the ball to a corner. They were singing the praises of
Jesús Salinas Mila 17 minutes into the match after his speculative chip from just outside the centre part of the opponent's penalty area found its way over the visitors keeper to make the score 1 - 0 for Changi. The boggy pitch disrupted the game, especially for technical players like
Marc Pujolràs. With 21 minutes played, Changi put themselves up 2 - 0 when the visiting defenders lost the ball to
Mugurel Rusanu, who came up from the left and proceeded to coolly round the keeper and knock the ball home. A penalty 35 minutes into the game gave the home side a chance at adding to the score, but an overconfident
Arnout Cevaal shot the ball wide trying to put it away in the top corner. 2 - 0 was the halftime score. Changi claimed to be the more dominant force in the game, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 59 percent.
Changi added another goal to their lead as
Mohd Rosedy bin Kunju Mohamad struck home the 3 - 0 goal after an attack from the left set him up unmarked in front of the keeper. At this point, it was obvious that the players of Changi lowered the tempo and became more defensively oriented. In an effort to secure the lead, Changi changed their tactic after 60 minutes. The Changi coach was visibly pleased with the score so far, but still ordered a few tactical changes 60 minutes into the game. As
Rãzvan Georgescu was substituted 70 minutes into the game, he could take comfort in the fact that his team was in the lead.
Per Nessholt was the replacement. Changi held the ball, with a clear 62 percent of possession.
Most important Changi player was
Jesús Salinas Mila.
陈 (Chen) 泽荣 (Zerong) was a disappointment, however. Grilled's best player was
Chow Ying Lee.
Anders Josefsson on the other hand, had a terrible day. The match ends 3 - 0.
