Grilled clearly preferred using their ability to attack in the middle. In a rapid move 54 minutes into the match, Erik Back of Grilled lost his man, passed the ball to the unmarked 田 (Tian) 勇航 (Yonghang) who easily hit it home for the 1-2 goal. With the scoreboard showing that 56 minutes had been played, Grilled nearly put themselves up another goal after Rosendo Chinchay came through on the left. Fortunately for the home crowd, the keeper made the save. Golden's Francesco Marasco made an attempt at equalising 73 minutes into the match, coming in from the right, but the ball hit the post and the defence easily cleared the rebound. Grilled claimed to be the more dominant force in the game, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 60 percent.

Golden's top performer was clearly Francesco Marasco. Lino Beltramme turned in a dismal performance, however. Grilled's best player was Dexter Stacey. Yvan Lefébure was a disappointment, however. The match ends 1 - 2.
