Arrogancae 3 - 2 Grilled

scorching day at Avengers Apocalypse, where 68580 spectators were in place for today's match. Brisko Knapp was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Hong Man Keung and Miro Rebov. Arrogancae tactics involved an interesting ‭3-5-2‬ combination. They fielded: Cazzulati - Oliver, Loinaz, Kramers - 达维 (Dawei), Martiskin, Bălan, Schouby, Unold - Nichols, Niurnaitis.

Grilled started off with a ‭5-2-3‬ lineup. The following players had been chosen: Stacey - Crkvenjakov, Ross, 俊桂 (Jungui), Madaini, Mausisa - Fonseca, Dorogan - bin Mohd Kassim, Bögengang, Ying Lee.

Grilled were relying on their ability to counter-attack. After a fine move down the middle Georgică Bălan nearly gave the home side a goal after 4 minutes. The finishing shot went just wide, though. After 5 minutes, the defensive line of Grilled created a counterattack through the middle that gave Vukota Crkvenjakov a good look at the goal, but his shot glanced harmlessly off the crossbar. Some great play up the middle by Arrogancae led to a chance for Teemu Martiskin to get the go-ahead goal after 20 minutes, but the shot hit the crossbar. 0 - 0 was the score after the first half. Arrogancae held the ball, with a clear 73 percent of possession.

After 47 minutes Darmantas Niurnaitis made a speedy advance and dropped the ball to Joe Nichols who shuffled it past the keeper. The score was now 1 - 0. Arrogancae solidified their lead at the 58 minute mark, as Georgică Bălan manoeuvered the ball through the opposing central defence and finished for 2 - 0. Levi Kramers of Arrogancae was booked for kicking the ball away after the whistle. Grilled caught their opponents out with a clever counterattack down the right wing 69 minutes into the match. Alex Fonseca was able to finish off the move - 2 - 1. Grilled needed a fresh pair of legs on the field, and after 70 minutes Alex Fonseca made way for Marc Pujolràs. Several players seemed a little dazed by the warm weather, and were repeatedly tricked by the clever and agile Marc Pujolràs. A penalty 75 minutes into the game gave the home side a chance at adding to the score, but an overconfident Luis Víctor Loinaz shot the ball wide trying to put it away in the top corner. A well placed corner kick from Domenik Bögengang was followed by Mohd Safri bin Mohd Kassim's hard but accurate header. The nice combination marked a goal for Grilled, the score now 2-2. Down the middle came Roberto Mausisa, making a fantastic play that nearly had Grilled take the lead after 77 minutes, but Massimo Cazzulati preserved the tie. Roberto Mausisa wasn't much help defensively. His energy-consuming forward runs proved quite costly in the oppressive heat. Arrogancae fans held their breath as Georgică Bălan scampered down the left side. He successfully avoided all challenges and cracked home the go-ahead goal for 3-2! This half belonged to Arrogancae, who controlled the ball 69 percent of the time.

The most dominating Arrogancae player was without a doubt Joe Nichols. However, 潘 (Pan) 达维 (Dawei) made a disastrous appearance. Most important Grilled player was Domenik Bögengang. Roberto Mausisa was a disappointment, however. The match ends 3 - 2.
