Grilled mostly ignored the flanks in favour of their ability to attack in the middle. Grilled's Mohd Safri bin Mohd Kassim managed to lose the defenders as he came down the right side and scored, putting the visitors ahead, 0 - 1. A thrilling play through the middle 25 minutes into the match gave Grilled's 林 (Lin) 俊桂 (Jungui) a chance to increase the lead, and he did not disappoint. The score was then 0 - 2. At this point, it was obvious that the players of Grilled lowered the tempo and became more defensively oriented. After 30 minutes, Grilled sent a free kick in high over the penalty box. In what looked like a well-rehearsed move, the ball was headed backwards and reached Chow Ying Lee, who had plenty of space to place a well aimed shot and score the 0 - 3 goal. Grilled's Chow Ying Lee received a play slashing through the home side's central defence after 42 minutes, and chipped it past the keeper to score the 0 - 4 goal. The home crowd was not pleased with that one. 0 - 4 was the halftime score. Grilled enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 79 percent of possession.

As Yvan Lefébure was substituted 46 minutes into the game, he could take comfort in the fact that his team was in the lead. Alex Fonseca was the replacement. The coach of Grilled was happy with the game so far, but still wanted to change the line up. After 60 minutes, 范 (Fan) 修宇 (Xiuyu) came on for Mohd Safri bin Mohd Kassim. The Grilled players could smell victory in the air. Chow Ying Lee wasn't in a hurry to leave the field as he was substituted for 田 (Tian) 勇航 (Yonghang) after 60 minutes. After 76 minutes, Grilled's Safri bin Mohamad burst through the central defence and let loose a cannonball of a shot, scoring for 0 - 5. The away team's Qassem Madaini took advantage of a mistake on the home side's right after 83 minutes which increased Grilled's lead to 0 - 6. Vukota Crkvenjakov really should have scored when he was chosen by fate to confront a wide open goal following a great play by Qassem Madaini after a corner. With 85 minutes played, a phenomenal play on the left side freed Erik Back, of Grilled, to dash through and score another goal for the visitors. The score was then 0 - 7. After 88 minutes a combination in the middle resulted in a through ball for Safri bin Mohamad who increased Grilled's lead to 0 - 8. Safri bin Mohamad's speed was clear to see after 89 minutes as he darted past his marker and struck an opening pass to 范 (Fan) 修宇 (Xiuyu) who scored the 0-9 goal. The visitors' Erik Back took advantage of an error due to a misunderstanding between the home side's goalie and centre backs 89 minutes into the match. 0 - 10 for Grilled. Grilled held the ball, with a clear 84 percent of possession.

Kranji's top performer was clearly Wan Soon Ming. Lim Ting Pin on the other hand, had a terrible day. The most dominating Grilled player was without a doubt Alex Fonseca. Erik Back turned in a dismal performance, however. The match ends 0 - 10.
