Grilled 0 - 8 Dæhli
58 spectators had come to The Cooking Pot this cloudy day.
Martín Bonilla was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Jonny Amundsen and
Rolf Rasmussen. Grilled tactics involved an interesting 4-3-3 combination. The following players took the field: Bao-Tam - Mirchev, Woon Jin, bin Yaacob, 顺国 (Shunguo) - Tong Ping, Shun Jin, Jun Chang - Salieri, Torsson, 力海 (Lihai) .
Dæhli had chosen a strategic 5-3-2 formation. They fielded: Babris - Trincas, Dumas, Machacaz, Puntigam, Henden - Johansen, Metelen, Steinmann - Neamtu, Buljo.
Grilled tried to focus their attacks down the middle. For their match strategy, Dæhli had decided to use their ability to counter-attack whenever possible. The terraces were silenced after 7 minutes when Dæhli's
Frodo Steinmann put the guests ahead 0 - 1, following an attack on the right. There was concern in the stands when, at the 26 minute mark, Dæhli's
Jonathan Buljo hit the ground hard, but he refused the attention of the trainer and rejoined his teammates on the pitch. A thrilling play through the middle 35 minutes into the match gave Dæhli's
Jonathan Buljo a chance to increase the lead, and he did not disappoint. The score was then 0 - 2. With 38 minutes played, Dæhli put themselves up 0 - 3 after an attack from the right, caused by a defensive blunder. The scorer was
Jonathan Buljo. By now, Dæhli were drawing the troops back in order to defend their lead. The home crowd was not impressed when
Dominik Puntigam came in from the right, shooting hard to score after 41 minutes. Dæhli were now up 0 - 4. A well placed corner kick from
Jonas Metelen was followed by
Luís Gustavo Machacaz's hard but accurate header. The nice combination marked a goal for Dæhli, the score now 0-5. After 44 minutes, Dæhli's
Jonathan Buljo burst through the central defence and let loose a cannonball of a shot, scoring for 0 - 6. That was his third goal of the match - a hat trick for
Jonathan Buljo. Grilled's
Sim Tong Ping was shown a yellow card after 44 minutes for slicing down an opponent. The Dæhli player who had to be helped off the pitch, was
Jonathan Buljo as he was unable to finish the game.
Oreste Evangelisti came in to finish the match.
Gianluigi Trincas became the new Dæhli captain. Halftime score was 0 - 6. Dæhli held the ball, with a clear 67 percent of possession.
Inge Johansen came close to extending the visitors' lead when he found himself completely unmarked in front of the goal after a pass through the middle, but he lifted the ball over
Hang Bao-Tam and it was a little too high and hit the bar. The away team's
Inge Johansen took advantage of a mistake on the home side's right after 56 minutes which increased Dæhli's lead to 0 - 7. With 60 minutes played, the Grilled coach decided a substitution may help turn the game around.
Ângelo Cunha Simões came on,
鄭 (Zheng) 力海 (Lihai) had to leave the fray. After 60 minutes, a mistake by the home side's left defence allowed
Jianu Neamtu to get through. He outclassed the home side's keeper, adding another goal for the visitors. 0 - 8. The game was close to savage at times, and Grilled's
Sim Tong Ping received a second yellow card after 64 minutes, his ticket out of the game. Dæhli claimed to be the more dominant force in the game, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 70 percent.
Grilled's best player was
Ângelo Cunha Simões. On the other hand,
Hang Bao-Tam's play was disheartening.
Oreste Evangelisti performed admirably for Dæhli.
Agris Babris turned in a dismal performance, however. The match ends 0 - 8.
