At this point in the game, defending their lead became the main priority for Mammutring. Rüdiger Hatten gave Mammutring supporters even more to cheer about when he increased the lead to 3 - 0 after 26 minutes, following a good exchange of passes on the right that the away team failed to deal with. Mammutring's Wolf-Birger Stroh wanted to play on, but 30 minutes into the game the decision was made to substitute him for Miron Mantarinidis. Given a free kick in a difficult position after 31 minutes, Grilled did not go for a direct shot but instead aimed for the area just in front of the keeper. The attacking players made several runs as the ball was played and made it hard for the defenders to protect their goal. Mammutring's Horst Binert struck his penalty well enough to beat the goalkeeper and extend the home team's lead to 4 - 1 after 34 minutes. It was 4 - 1 at the break. The forty-five minutes were dominated by Grilled, with an impressive 52 percent possession of the ball.

As Gunnar Freisoythe was substituted 46 minutes into the game, he could take comfort in the fact that his team was in the lead. Roberto Jiménez was the replacement. 46 minutes into the game, Mammutring adjusted their style of play in order to conserve the lead. A magnificent combination in the middle resulted in Mammutring's Matthias Raidl putting the lead up to 5 - 1. 49 minutes into the game, Grilled seemed a little tentative in their play as their organization fell to passable. After 67 minutes, there was a bit of a mixup on the field as Grilled found themselves out of position and their organization level dropped to inadequate. Content with how the game was proceeding, the Mammutring coach let Gavino Medeot replace Saduman Şahin after 70 minutes. 82 minutes into the game, Martin Torsson had to leave the pitch due to a knee injury. Mammutring's top performer was clearly Rüdiger Hatten. Absalom El-Ashraf was a disappointment, however. The most dominating Grilled player was without a doubt Matthias Branbilla. Hang Bao-Tam on the other hand, had a terrible day. The match ends 5 - 1.
