The score was then 0 - 8. The game had been on for 88 minutes when Qiu Swee Pheng broke through on the right, upping the score for Grilled to 0 - 9, much to the home crowd's dismay. Grilled held the ball, with a clear 87 percent of possession.

Balestier's best player was Wan Teck-Wah. Quan Masa-Aki turned in a dismal performance, however. The most dominating Grilled player was without a doubt Dani Spirig. On the other hand, Nor Suhaimi bin Che Lah's play was disheartening. The match ends 0 - 9.
