Grilled 3 - 4 Singapore
ouds darkened the skies at The Cooking Pot as 83087 spectators turned up for the match.
Lars Westertorp was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Mosè Milasi and
Jody Shakeshaft. Grilled had chosen a strategic 3-5-2 formation. The following players took the field: Abed-Sulaiman - Zywczyn, Fredgård, Bona - van Liere, Han Kok, Kek-Tjiang, Paullin, Spirig - Martinsson, Kadak.
Singapore tactics involved an interesting 3-4-3 combination. Lineup: Xiaolun - Kok-Peng, Khoi-Khoa, Shiu-Fai - Noor Yadah, Min Rong, bin Din, Gustavsson - Radulović, Rodostoglou, Gingold.
Singapore immediately set off using their skill at pressing their opponents. The pressing tactics used by Singapore were successful at containing their opponents. Singapore took the lead 21 minutes into the game, scoring the 0 - 1 goal after some elegant plays down the middle.
Darren Gingold was the scorer. An amazing free kick flew past the home side keeper 29 minutes into the match, putting Singapore ahead with the 0 - 2 goal.
Vaios Rodostoglou was the scorer. A drive on the left side allowed Singapore's
Hua Kok-Peng to get in close and score a goal after 30 minutes, leading to 0 - 3. It was 0 - 3 at the break. Grilled held the ball, with a clear 54 percent of possession.
Grilled's
Dani Spirig lived up to his reputation for finding unexpected ways to get the ball in the net when he sent a nifty little pass over to
Jaan Kadak who finished for 1 - 3 with 58 minutes of the match played. A marvellous Grilled effort on the right-hand side resulted in a goal after 60 minutes by
Jaan Kadak, making the score 2 - 3. With 69 minutes played, Singapore's
ZhangCai Khoi-Khoa fell dramatically just outside the penalty area. However, the referee booked
ZhangCai Khoi-Khoa for diving.
Sylweriusz Zywczyn pulled a real crowd pleaser as he, after 81 minutes, wove through the guests' entire central defence and put the 3 - 3 equaliser away. Some great play up the middle by Grilled led to a chance for
Ola Martinsson to get the go-ahead goal after 84 minutes, but the shot hit the crossbar. 3 - 4 was the score with 86 minutes played, after Singapore's
Jue Shiu-Fai cut through the central defence and chipped home a goal. The forty-five minutes were dominated by Grilled, with an impressive 54 percent possession of the ball.
Lorenz Paullin performed admirably for Grilled.
Hidde van Liere was a disappointment, however. Singapore's top performer was clearly
Chew Xiaolun.
Darren Gingold turned in a dismal performance, however. The match ends 3 - 4.
