Chinablack 3 - 2 Grilled

ather conditions were fairly good for football, and MadamWong2 Arena saw a crowd turnout of 48024. Christophe Mora was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Jesús Carruesco and Arndt Baerensprung. Chinablack started off with a 3-5-2 lineup. The following players had been chosen: Guzmán - Frostenfeldt, Nissbo, Läfvengård - Torström, Dhanesh, Johansson, Turner, Fei-wen - Papoutsis, Ökvist.

Grilled had chosen a strategic 3-5-2 formation. The following players had been chosen: Bao-Tam - Dewilde, Tuan-Mu, Alcántara - Stanton, Ju-Hau, Kek-Tjiang, Noor Yadah, Dai-Lin - Chiew-Yen, Stern.

Chinablack had a good opportunity to take the lead as Nikos Papoutsis came up the left side, but he struck the ball weakly and it went straight into the arms of Hang Bao-Tam. Chinablack broke through on the left 25 minutes into the game, with Håkan Ökvist firing in from an acute angle to give the home side a 1 - 0 lead. The visiting team's Chen Chiew-Yen was able to score the 1 - 1 equaliser with a header 25 minutes into the match, after some good work on the right. Per Frostenfeldt gave Chinablack the lead with 2 - 1, as he successfully challenged the guests' central defenders, then placed the ball unreachably at the keeper's right post. Grilled were close to putting the equaliser away after 33 minutes as the opposing defence lost control of the ball to Zhan Ju-Hau in a scuffle towards the left of the goal, but in the end the ball was cleared over the dead ball line. The referee showed Chinablack's Per Frostenfeldt the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge. Halftime score was 2 - 1. Grilled held the ball, with a clear 56 percent of possession.

The visitors didn't give in and, after 50 minutes, Lan Tuan-Mu got through the home side's central line of defence, rolling in the equaliser to make it 2 - 2. Chinablack broke through on the left 70 minutes into the game, with Gunnar Nissbo firing in from an acute angle to give the home side a 3 - 2 lead. The referee showed Chinablack's Håkan Ökvist the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge. Chen Chiew-Yen was the unlucky victim and couldn't continue the game, so Grilled's Miguel Reed had to come off the bench. The visitors' equaliser seemed sure to come after 86 minutes, following a one on one situation around the left hand side of the goal area, but Eduardo Alaín Guzmán got the best of it, blocking the shot from Joe Stern. Grilled claimed to be the more dominant force in the game, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 52 percent.

Most important Chinablack player was Viliami Turner. Håkan Ökvist on the other hand, had a terrible day. Most important Grilled player was Zhan Ju-Hau. Miguel Reed was a disappointment, however. The match ends 3 - 2.
