King's 4 - 3 Grilled

000 spectators had come to Marine Parade Field this cloudy day. Zbardhor Prela was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Edy Berner and Marcin Majerski. King's had chosen a strategic 3-5-2 formation. Lineup: Michailidis - Kyu-sung, Yuan, Cao - Hao, Yan-Ming, Hangarter, Rothstad, Bon-Young - Jonasson, Jui-Loy.

Grilled tactics involved an interesting 3-5-2 combination. They fielded: Bao-Tam - Siu-Cheung, Tuan-Mu, bin Che Lah - Dai-Lin, Kek-Tjiang, Stanton, Ju-Hau, Noor Yadah - Chiew-Yen, Reed.

The home side put themselves ahead 1 - 0 after 8 minutes courtesy of a breakthrough from Shu Jui-Loy, who, unaided, came in from the right wing hooking the ball over the visitors' keeper. Asher Stanton caused mayhem in his own defensive line with some mad dribbles within his own penalty zone, but King's's Tang Hao's shot went just wide. The visitors' Chen Chiew-Yen was alert on a play coming in from the left, tying the score at 1 - 1 after 28 minutes. After 30 minutes, Grilled's Zhan Ju-Hau made his way through the middle and nonchalantly placed the ball out of the keeper's reach, putting the visitors up 1 - 2. After 32 minutes, Henrik Rothstad got through on the right and was very close to equalising for the home side, but didn't get the shot away. The teams went for the halftime break at 1 - 2. The forty-five minutes were dominated by King's, with an impressive 60 percent possession of the ball.

King's tried to even things up by sending a long play towards the centrally placed strikers, but the visitors' defence got the best of this rather direct style of play. Due to some great work on the right wing King's's Zong Yuan was able to even the score after 70 minutes to make the score 2 - 2. The home side put themselves ahead 3 - 2 after 71 minutes courtesy of a breakthrough from Per Jonasson, who, unaided, came in from the right wing hooking the ball over the visitors' keeper. With 83 minutes played, Shu Jui-Loy could have brought this one home for King's as he charged up on the left, but his hooked ball went just a bit too high. A well placed corner kick from Miguel Reed was followed by Kau Siu-Cheung's hard but accurate header. The nice combination marked a goal for Grilled, the score now 3-3. 88 minutes into the match and the home team took a 4 - 3 lead after breaking through on the left. Scorer for King's was Shu Jui-Loy. The forty-five minutes were dominated by King's, with an impressive 67 percent possession of the ball.

King's's best player was Henrik Rothstad. Qin Cao on the other hand, had a terrible day. The most dominating Grilled player was without a doubt Hang Bao-Tam. Aznan Noor Yadah on the other hand, had a terrible day. The match ends 4 - 3.
