BonGGie 0 - 1 Grilled

e crowd of 52555 turning up at BonGGie FC Arena today were greeted with some nasty showers of rain. Toke Tingleff was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Erik Thorstensson and Vít Borský. BonGGie tactics involved an interesting 4-5-1 combination. They fielded: Zoccoletti - Widerbom, Yew Pin, Conrad, Chee-Seong - Ibn-Habib, Keng Puay, Siong-Gek, Geerts, Ben Chakroun - Man-Man.

Grilled had chosen a strategic 3-5-2 formation. The following players had been chosen: Abed-Sulaiman - Liehner, Bona, Falkbo - Spirig, Siu-Yue, Jie Siong, Han Kok, Borup - Martinsson, Hjortlind.

It was obvious that BonGGie were using their pressing skill as their primary tactic. At this time in the match, BonGGie were using their skill at pressing to successfully put pressure on their opponents. Grilled took the lead 17 minutes into the game, scoring the 0 - 1 goal after some elegant plays down the middle. Terkel Borup was the scorer. After 23 minutes Grilled's Jörgen Falkbo contracted a slight foot injury, but could finish the game. David Geerts caused mayhem in his own defensive line with some mad dribbles within his own penalty zone, but Grilled's Terkel Borup's shot went just wide. BonGGie's Lin Siong-Gek had a hard, curved free kick after 29 minutes that would have paid off, had it gone just a little lower. The teams went for the halftime break at 0 - 1. The forty-five minutes were dominated by Grilled, with an impressive 60 percent possession of the ball.

BonGGie's Lin Siong-Gek made an attempt at equalising 64 minutes into the match, coming in from the right, but the ball hit the post and the defence easily cleared the rebound. After 69 minutes of game time, Ola Martinsson had an excellent opportunity to add to the visitors' lead, clipping a volley hooked in from the right, but Victor Zoccoletti was in the right place and tipped the ball to a corner. After 77 minutes of game time, Ulf Hjortlind had an excellent opportunity to add to the visitors' lead, clipping a volley hooked in from the right, but Victor Zoccoletti was in the right place and tipped the ball to a corner. Ola Martinsson was uncomfortable with the soggy pitch as he couldn't move the ball around with his usual grace. Grilled's Au-Yong Siu-Yue made it through the home team's defence on the right hand side 84 minutes into the match. After rounding the keeper, he only had to place the ball in the unguarded goal when a defender sprang up, clearing the ball on the line. Grilled held the ball, with a clear 60 percent of possession.

BonGGie's best player was Chen Keng Puay. Edward Conrad on the other hand, had a terrible day. The most dominating Grilled player was without a doubt Ahmed Abed-Sulaiman. Lee Jie Siong on the other hand, had a terrible day. The match ends 0 - 1.
