e to an all-day shower, 52534 paying spectators got to see a match on a pitch-turned-bog at Alpha Centauri ~ Home Sweet Home.
Christopher Mortier was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Florian Magdanz-Schwarz and
Eddie Svanstål. Titus had chosen a strategic 3-5-2 formation. Lineup: Yukpui - Dae-Young, Wee-Cheong, Yiu-Bong - Kong-Phay, Ee-Van, Thuy, Chien-Hui, bin Yusof - Hong-Yang, Mei-Kuen.
Grilled started off with a 3-5-2 lineup. The following players had been chosen: Abed-Sulaiman - Tuan-Mu, Bona, Falkbo - van Liere, Siu-Yue, Rottman, Kek-Tjiang, Spirig - Wai-Kin, Martinsson.
Titus demonstrated their creative tactics on the field. Grilled clearly had decided to counter-attack when they could. Titus made a bid to take the lead as a ball coming in on the right hand side left
Bing Kong-Phay completely alone with keeper
Ahmed Abed-Sulaiman, who made a spectacular block. Grilled's
Ola Martinsson excelled in some fine tricks that completely confused
Tang Chien-Hui - and the finish was no less spectacular - 0 - 1! After 29 minutes a combination in the middle resulted in a through ball for
Ola Martinsson who increased Grilled's lead to 0 - 2. Titus reduced the lead to 1 - 2 with 32 minutes on the clock when
Tang Hong-Yang got the best of a ball floated in from the left. Halftime score was 1 - 2. The forty-five minutes were dominated by Titus, with an impressive 58 percent possession of the ball.
Grilled's
Dani Spirig got himself booked for a foul. The Titus player who had to be helped off the pitch, was
Tang Chien-Hui as he was unable to finish the game.
She Chang-Shik came in to finish the match. Titus's
Tang Mei-Kuen put his head to a high ball coming in from the right after 68 minutes, but the ball went wide. 73 minutes in, Grilled's
Au-Yong Siu-Yue received a yellow card for going into a challenge studs first. Titus's
She Chang-Shik made an attempt at equalising 80 minutes into the match, coming in from the right, but the ball hit the post and the defence easily cleared the rebound. Some fine manoeuvring on the left led to a Grilled goal after 84 minutes, making it 1 - 3.
Au-Yong Siu-Yue was noted down as the scorer. Titus claimed to be the more dominant force in the game, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 54 percent.
The most dominating Titus player was without a doubt
Jiu Thuy.
She Chang-Shik was a disappointment, however. The most dominating Grilled player was without a doubt
Ahmed Abed-Sulaiman.
Lan Tuan-Mu on the other hand, had a terrible day. The match ends 1 - 3.
