Grilled 0 - 3 STLFANS
86 spectators had come to Gamma Stadium this cloudy day.
Dante Maris was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Marzio La rizza and
Anton Veremey. Grilled started off with a 3-5-2 lineup. The following players had been chosen: Bao-Tam - Tuan-Mu, Ong, Siu-Cheung - Hua, Magnusson, Seng-kar, Tellskär, Attimarad - Chiew-Yen, Hobson.
STLFANS had chosen a strategic 4-4-2 formation. They fielded: Hayes - Zarza, Moore, Castle, Dunbar - Wilson, Main, Knutsson, Rudolph - Fortier, Krueger.
STLFANS's
David Wilson was dominating his wing and kept sending fine balls into the opposition's box -
Bill Krueger managed to volley one of them into the net to make it 0 - 1 after 9 minutes. The referee showed Grilled's
Chen Chiew-Yen the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge.
Bengt 'Ånna' Knutsson came close to extending the visitors' lead when he found himself completely unmarked in front of the goal after a pass through the middle, but he lifted the ball over
Hang Bao-Tam and it was a little too high and hit the bar. The teams went for the halftime break at 0 - 1. STLFANS held the ball, with a clear 61 percent of possession.
Some fine manoeuvring on the left led to a STLFANS goal after 64 minutes, making it 0 - 2.
Lon Fortier was noted down as the scorer. After 71 minutes Grilled's
Kau Siu-Cheung contracted a slight foot injury, but could finish the game. Several players were looking tired, especially
Lan Tuan-Mu who quite horribly caused the 0 - 3 goal as he lost the ball to a still energetic
Carlos Zarza of STLFANS after 76 minutes. After this, STLFANS lowered the tempo in order to concentrate on their defensive efforts.
Hang Bao-Tam kept the home side in the game with a magnificent save when
Lesley Main delivered an almost perfect free kick to the far post. The referee showed Grilled's
Lan Tuan-Mu the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge.
Bengt 'Ånna' Knutsson was the unlucky victim and couldn't continue the game, so STLFANS's
Jerry Ellington had to come off the bench. 87 minutes into the game,
Svarpati Attimarad had to leave the pitch due to a knee injury. In came
Ma Dai-Lin. STLFANS held the ball, with a clear 58 percent of possession.
Grilled's best player was
Hang Bao-Tam.
Daniel Tellskär was a disappointment, however. The most dominating STLFANS player was without a doubt
Carlos Zarza.
Joshua Castle was a disappointment, however. The match ends 0 - 3.
