Catenaccio 11 - 0 Grilled
47 spectators had come to Defenders this cloudy day.
Johan Stangen was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Mirko Di Giovanni and
Noé Taspinar. Catenaccio tactics involved an interesting 4-5-1 combination. The following players had been chosen: Maslovský - Porubiak, Koszta, GondoÅ¡, Bezdeda - TapÅ¡Ãk, Branco, Slatinský, Justus, SegeÅ¥a - Chazan.
Grilled decided to use a 4-4-2 set up. The following players took the field: Bao-Tam - 辉洪 (Huihong) , Seng-Huat, Chuan Heng, bin Selamat - å·åŸŽ (Chuancheng) , bin Mustapa, Mirchev, 剑勇 (Jianyong) - Hjortlind, bin Yaacob.
After 5 minutes, Catenaccio sent a free kick in high over the penalty box. In what looked like a well-rehearsed move, the ball was headed backwards and reached
Mihály Koszta, who had plenty of space to place a well aimed shot and score the 1 - 0 goal. Catenaccio put themselves up 2 - 0 when
Stanislav Justus broke through on the right, leaving the entire defensive box behind him. A header from
Mihály Koszta connected with a corner kick after 31 minutes, and the ball ended up with
Andrej TapÅ¡Ãk of Catenaccio who shot home the 3-0 goal. Things were going to get worse for the visitors.
Mihály Koszta squirmed himself through their central defence after 41 minutes, bringing the lead to 4 - 0.
Carlos César Branco increased Catenaccio's lead to 5 - 0, putting a header away on a hooked ball from the right. By now, Catenaccio were drawing the troops back in order to defend their lead. Things were deteriorating for the away team as Catenaccio scored another to make it 6 - 0 after a left side attack resulted in a goal for
Naor Chazan after 43 minutes. Halftime score was 6 - 0. Catenaccio claimed to be the more dominant force in the game, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 84 percent.
51 minutes into the match
Stanislav Justus put Catenaccio ahead 7 - 0 with a truly marvelous free kick. A magnificent combination in the middle resulted in Catenaccio's
Mihály Koszta putting the lead up to 8 - 0. By then
Mihály Koszta was a three time scorer - a hat trick!
Stanislav Justus increased Catenaccio's lead to 9 - 0 with a penalty spot cannonball. That was his third goal of the match - a hat trick for
Stanislav Justus. The Catenaccio free kick 71 minutes into the match seemed wasted, as the shot was both short and off target. But there was an idea to it - the misdirected ball was turned into a cross towards
Andrej TapÅ¡Ãk, who was waiting for it in the box. That's 10 - 0! Don't forget to thank the assistant coach for that gem of a routine! Catenaccio solidified their lead at the 77 minute mark, as
Andrej TapÅ¡Ãk manoeuvered the ball through the opposing central defence and finished for 11 - 0. That made three goals for
Andrej TapÅ¡Ãk and he was marked down for the hat trick. Many in the crowd felt the referee was being too lenient when he only showed Catenaccio's
Mihály Koszta a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 81 minutes into the game. Catenaccio held the ball, with a clear 84 percent of possession.
Most important Catenaccio player was
Carlos César Branco.
Stanislav Gondoš turned in a dismal performance, however. Grilled's best player was
范 (Fan) å·åŸŽ (Chuancheng) .
Weng Seng-Huat on the other hand, had a terrible day. The match ends 11 - 0.
