parsib 2 - 3 Grilled
was an exceptionally sunny day for the crowd of 7000 that came out to parsib Arena.
Gianluca Patania was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Norbert Rivasseau and
Rudolph Remke. A 4-4-2 alignment was the formation of choice for parsib. Lineup: How Su - Wan Yong, An Li, bin Yahaya, Jian Ho - Qiang Kim, Ming Liang, Kay Hin, Yok Man - bin Yusof, Chuan Kian.
Grilled tactics involved an interesting 4-4-2 combination. The following players had been chosen: Bao-Tam - 辉洪 (Huihong) , Chuan Heng, Seng-Huat, bin Othman - å·åŸŽ (Chuancheng) , MacKinnon, Branbilla, 剑勇 (Jianyong) - Hjortlind, bin Yaacob.

The kick was sent into the area just in front of the keeper. However, the defence were on their toes and allowed no space for a finish. After 21 minutes,
Lau Jian Ho came in from the right, feinted, then sped past the off-balance defender to put away the 1 - 0 goal, giving parsib the lead. After 22 minutes, parsib's
Abdul Samad bin Yahaya fell awkwardly, but was determined to stay in the match. parsib's
Ng Kay Hin was delighted to score the 2 - 0 goal after he saw his shot go between the legs of the advancing goalkeeper and into the net, following some good attacking movement on the right wing after 23 minutes.
Ulf Hjortlind had a lethal looking free kick that grazed the post after 25 minutes. It was 2 - 0 at the break. Grilled claimed to be the more dominant force in the game, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 70 percent.
Grilled managed to reduce to 2 - 1 as
Zulkiflee bin Othman finished off a well-played combination from the left, carving through the defensive box. Some brilliant football from the visitors' right wing resulted in a levelling of the score as Grilled's
胡 (Hu) 剑勇 (Jianyong) put the ball in the net after 81 minutes to make it 2 - 2. Down the middle came
John MacKinnon, making a fantastic play that nearly had Grilled take the lead after 83 minutes, but
Chua How Su preserved the tie. parsib's
Mohd Syamsuri bin Yusof had to watch the rest of the game from the sidelines, after twisting his ankle with 85 minutes having been played.
Sha Hoang Vuong was the replacement. This half belonged to Grilled, who controlled the ball 75 percent of the time.
As neither team was able to get the go-ahead goal before the end of regular play, the teams took to the field again for extra time. With 103 minutes played, the visitors broke through on the right after some poor defending.
胡 (Hu) 剑勇 (Jianyong) put the ball away for 2 - 3. What a dramatic win for Grilled!
parsib's top performer was clearly
Sha Hoang Vuong.
Abdul Samad bin Yahaya on the other hand, had a terrible day. Most important Grilled player was
Matthias Branbilla. On the other hand,
Weng Seng-Huat's play was disheartening. The match ends 2 - 3.
