Grilled 0 - 5 Foot-Fighters
25 fans braved the pouring rain at The Cooking Pot.
Sven Erwin Mahler was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Gaël Gournay and
Xamín Alcántara. Grilled decided to use a 4-4-2 set up. Starters: Dias Paes - è¾¾è£ (Darong) , Ãrva, Talib, bin Othman - 剑勇 (Jianyong) , Mirchev, Chuan Heng, å·åŸŽ (Chuancheng) - Hjortlind, bin Yaacob.
Foot-Fighters tactics involved an interesting 3-5-2 combination. The following players took the field: Errembault - Melo Souza, Ernest, Etxezarreta - Mühlheim, Quino, LovrenÄić, Aranda Rubio, Douglas - Andermann, Landsoght.
After 11 minutes, Foot-Fighters's
Elvis LovrenÄić made his way through the middle and nonchalantly placed the ball out of the keeper's reach, putting the visitors up 0 - 1. After 39 minutes a combination in the middle resulted in a through ball for
Elvis LovrenÄić who increased Foot-Fighters's lead to 0 - 2. The away team's
Jack Douglas took advantage of a mistake on the home side's right after 40 minutes which increased Foot-Fighters's lead to 0 - 3. After this, Foot-Fighters lowered the tempo in order to concentrate on their defensive efforts. With 41 minutes played,
Jeroen Landsoght nearly put the visitors another one up as he broke through in the middle and fired from just outside the box, but his shot passed just over the bar. The home crowd cheered when, after 42 minutes,
Elvis LovrenÄić's charge up the middle resulted in the keeper making one of his best saves of the day. Grilled's
Ulf Hjortlind was shown a yellow card for standing over the ball and blocking an opponent's quick free kick after 43 minutes. Foot-Fighters's
Jeroen Landsoght left the field after 44 minutes because of a nasty blow to the shin. His replacement was
Anatol Malanowski. 0 - 3 was the halftime score. The forty-five minutes were dominated by Foot-Fighters, with an impressive 80 percent possession of the ball.
Anatol Malanowski tipped the corner kick right to the keeper, who mishandled it, giving Foot-Fighters's
Jack Douglas a chance to knock it in for 0-4. After the ball was lifted in from the left,
VÃctor Aranda Rubio was on his own in the home side's penalty area and should have scored after 62 minutes, but missed, probably due to lack of concentration. 66 minutes into the game, Foot-Fighters worked the left side industriously creating several opportunities to add to their lead, but just couldn't apply the finishing touch. The corner kick from
Nathan Andermann set
Elvis LovrenÄić up perfectly, as he soared to meet the ball, heading it in for 0 - 5. That made three goals for
Elvis LovrenÄić and he was marked down for the hat trick.
Nathan Andermann could have put his team up another goal 79 minutes into the game, after a rush down the left, but his closing shot hit the post. Foot-Fighters held the ball, with a clear 79 percent of possession.
Most important Grilled player was
Valdir Dias Paes. However,
Ulf Hjortlind made a disastrous appearance. The most dominating Foot-Fighters player was without a doubt
Nathan Andermann. On the other hand,
Jill Mühlheim's play was disheartening. The match ends 0 - 5.
