Grilled 0 - 9 Valdes

e crowd of 3184 turning up at The Cooking Pot today were greeted with some nasty showers of rain. Johann Nolting was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Wiesław Kowalewicz and Alessandro Bella. Grilled started off with a 4-4-2 lineup. Starters: Bao-Tam - 辉洪 (Huihong) , bin Mohamed, Seng-Huat, Deme - 剑勇 (Jianyong) , Mirchev, 平正 (Pingzheng), 川城 (Chuancheng) - Hjortlind, bin Yaacob.

Valdes had chosen a strategic 3-5-2 formation. They fielded: Naki - Luzes, Macudu, Korotov - Ripoll, Chamot, Pérez, Siti, Hansson - Tang, Antúnez.

A mistake by the home side's central defence after 8 minutes allowed Sidney Tang to score the 0 - 1 goal for Valdes. The rain made it hard for players like Catalino Chamot to show their technical control of the ball on this soggy day. The away team's Catalino Chamot took advantage of a mistake on the home side's right after 17 minutes which increased Valdes's lead to 0 - 2. With 18 minutes played, a phenomenal play on the left side freed Péter Siti, of Valdes, to dash through and score another goal for the visitors. The score was then 0 - 3. Confident in their lead, Valdes decided to play a more defensive game at this point. A drive on the left side allowed Valdes's Catalino Chamot to get in close and score a goal after 32 minutes, leading to 0 - 4. Valdes's Stefan Hansson received a play slashing through the home side's central defense after 35 minutes, and chipped it past the keeper to score the 0 - 5 goal. The home crowd was not pleased with that one. It was 0 - 5 at the break. Valdes held the ball, with a clear 77 percent of possession.

It was a bad day for the usually speedy Sebastián Martín Pérez. The mud seemed to slow him down. Some fine manoeuvring on the left led to a Valdes goal after 59 minutes, making it 0 - 6. Vítor Luzes was noted down as the scorer. 60 minutes in, Valdes's Stefan Hansson received a yellow card for going into a challenge studs first. A loud groan was heard from the fans of Grilled, as 佘 (She) 平正 (Pingzheng) left the pitch in too much pain to finish the match. 付 (Fu) 帝江 (Dijiang) took his place on the field. The home crowd was not impressed when Ale Macudu came in from the right, shooting hard to score after 69 minutes. Valdes were now up 0 - 7. A defender managed to keep the ball from crossing the goal-line after a curling shot coming in from the right from Martín Antúnez after 76 minutes, and prevented Valdes from going up another goal. 78 minutes into the match, the visitors put themselves ahead 0 - 8 as Sidney Tang finished off an attack from the left with a spectacular scissors kick. After 79 minutes, Valdes's Sidney Tang burst through the central defence and let loose a cannonball of a shot, scoring for 0 - 9. This third goal made a hat trick for Sidney Tang. Valdes claimed to be the more dominant force in the game, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 80 percent.

Mohd Firdaus bin Yaacob performed admirably for Grilled. However, Hang Bao-Tam made a disastrous appearance. Valdes's best player was Péter Siti. On the other hand, Vítor Luzes's play was disheartening. The match ends 0 - 9.
