Uridium 6 - 1 Grilled

had rained all day, but 6399 hardy fans still made it out to Gran Plaz. Wilfried Heidegger was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Hubert Jeanneret and Kresten Laugesen. Uridium started off with a 4-5-1 lineup. The following players had been chosen: Somerville - Eaton, MacRuer, Tweedie, Beath - Luotola, Litov, Misiorowski, Deičs, Ástþórsson - Arfanis.

Grilled tactics involved an interesting 4-5-1 combination. Starters: Bao-Tam - 辉洪 (Huihong) , Tuan-Mu, Seng-Huat, 庭峰 (Tingfeng) - 达荣 (Darong) , Mirchev, Chuan Heng, Puay Hock, Deme - bin Yaacob.

It was obvious that Uridium were using their pressing skill as their primary tactic. At this time in the match, Uridium were using their skill at pressing to successfully put pressure on their opponents. Uridium took the lead 34 minutes into the game by 1 to 0, as Evgeny Litov elegantly received a long range pass through the middle, finishing off with a half-volley shot just below the bar. 胡 (Hu) 辉洪 (Huihong) was the first to reach the corner kick, but his header was blocked by the keeper. However, Grilled's Weng Seng-Huat managed to get hold of the rebound and scored the 1-1 goal. The visitors' central defence should have had no trouble clearing the pass to Aleksi Luotola, but the Uridium player managed to shrug them off and fired a low shot past the keeper to give his team the lead. 2 - 1! At this time in the match, Uridium were using their skill at pressing to successfully put pressure on their opponents. A magnificent combination in the middle resulted in Uridium's John Eaton putting the lead up to 3 - 1. Halftime score was 3 - 1. Uridium held the ball, with a clear 83 percent of possession.

The muddy pitch made the game a gritty affair, which seemed to suit Ivars Deičs just fine. The home side's John Eaton came close to extending the lead 62 minutes into the game. His shot came in from the right hand side but Hang Bao-Tam managed to save it with an unbelievable reaction stop. Jóhann Ástþórsson made one of his many fine passes from the wing into the middle 68 minutes into the match. Aiolos Arfanis bravely attempted to execute a diving header and the ball was met firmly with his forehead for Uridium. 4 - 1. Uridium were given a penalty 69 minutes into the match - neatly put away by Lewis MacRuer. 5 - 1 for the home side. By now, Uridium were drawing the troops back in order to defend their lead. Aiolos Arfanis unleashed a swerving effort from the right that the visitors' keeper did well to tip wide. Ivaylo Mirchev of Grilled was booked for kicking the ball away after the whistle. Uridium added another goal to their lead as Alex Tweedie struck home the 6 - 1 goal after an attack from the left set him up unmarked in front of the keeper. Uridium claimed to be the more dominant force in the game, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 82 percent.

Most important Uridium player was Jóhann Ástþórsson. John Eaton was a disappointment, however. Grilled's best player was Mohd Firdaus bin Yaacob. Hang Bao-Tam turned in a dismal performance, however. The match ends 6 - 1.
