Hillside 10 - 0 Grilled

e to an all-day shower, 3634 paying spectators got to see a match on a pitch-turned-bog at Fort Hillside. Markus Hammer was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Jesús Pablo Govea and Carlos Ribalta. A 3-4-3 alignment was the formation of choice for Hillside. They fielded: Mercier - Morganti, Pavey, Nasution - Cantieni, Ennis, Old, Hartland - Baier, Buzurro, Stanton.

Grilled had chosen a strategic 4-5-1 formation. Starters: Bao-Tam - 辉洪 (Huihong) , Tuan-Mu, Seng-Huat, bin Selamat - 达荣 (Darong) , Mirchev, Chuan Heng, Puay Hock, 庭峰 (Tingfeng) - bin Yaacob.

Using their counter-attacking abilities was the strategy of choice for Grilled on this day. Warner Ennis's name was chanted throughout the stadium after his goal up the middle after 4 minutes gave Hillside the 1 - 0 lead. With 11 minutes played, Hillside put themselves up 2 - 0 when the visiting defenders lost the ball to Warner Ennis, who came up from the left and proceeded to coolly round the keeper and knock the ball home. Grilled's Ahmad Tharmini bin Selamat got himself booked for a foul. The corner kick from Arturo Morganti set Warner Ennis up perfectly, as he soared to meet the ball, heading it in for 3 - 0. That made three goals for Warner Ennis and he was marked down for the hat trick. Hillside's Aden Old saw his fine effort strike the top of the bar following some good work up the middle by his teammates after 31 minutes. Things were deteriorating for the away team as Hillside scored another to make it 4 - 0 after a left side attack resulted in a goal for Fritz Cantieni after 39 minutes. 胡 (Hu) 辉洪 (Huihong) did not have a good day today, often losing his footing on the muddy pitch. Hillside solidified their lead at the 41 minute mark, as Julian Baier manoeuvered the ball through the opposing central defence and finished for 5 - 0. Confident in their lead, Hillside decided to play a more defensive game at this point. The teams went for the halftime break at 5 - 0. Hillside enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 77 percent of possession.

Things were going to get worse for the visitors. Gus Stanton squirmed himself through their central defence after 57 minutes, bringing the lead to 6 - 0. With 63 minutes played, Hillside put themselves up 7 - 0 when the visiting defenders lost the ball to Cecep Nasution, who came up from the left and proceeded to coolly round the keeper and knock the ball home. Things were going to get worse for the visitors. Gus Stanton squirmed himself through their central defence after 78 minutes, bringing the lead to 8 - 0. 79 minutes in, Grilled's 胡 (Hu) 辉洪 (Huihong) received a yellow card for going into a challenge studs first. A speedy charge from the left side of the field increased Hillside's lead to 9 - 0 as Ernesto Buzurro finished it off competently, firing from an acute angle. Hillside's best player was Oktay Ortaylı. Cecep Nasution turned in a dismal performance, however. Most important Grilled player was Mohd Firdaus bin Yaacob. However, Hang Bao-Tam made a disastrous appearance. The match ends 10 - 0.
