Grilled 1 - 10 RJ
59 spectators had come to The Cooking Pot this cloudy day.
Thibaut Le Duff was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Yasar Abbas and
John Evers. Grilled started off with a 4-5-1 lineup. The following players had been chosen: Bao-Tam - 辉洪 (Huihong) , Tuan-Mu, Seng-Huat, bin Selamat - è¾¾è£ (Darong) , Chuan Heng, Mirchev, Spirig, åºå³° (Tingfeng) - bin Yaacob.
RJ tactics involved an interesting 3-5-2 combination. The following players took the field: Andersson - Chi-Shing, Ze Shi, Ek-Chuah - Ming Seng, Vernazza, Yao Yew, Wen Chi, Leng Tse - Ã…hman, Yunos.
Today, Grilled's strategy involved concentrating on the flanks for their attacks. RJ decided to play creatively.
Matias Ã…hman of RJ was able to make an impressive rush past the sluggish
Lan Tuan-Mu, which resulted in the 0 - 1 goal. The home crowd was not impressed when
Sapian Yunos came in from the right, shooting hard to score after 18 minutes. RJ were now up 0 - 2. After this, RJ lowered the tempo in order to concentrate on their defensive efforts. After 33 minutes a combination in the middle resulted in a through ball for
Sapian Yunos who increased RJ's lead to 0 - 3. After 36 minutes, RJ's
Sapian Yunos burst through the central defence and let loose a cannonball of a shot, scoring for 0 - 4. This third goal made a hat trick for
Sapian Yunos. RJ's
Li Yao Yew received a play slashing through the home side's central defense after 37 minutes, and chipped it past the keeper to score the 0 - 5 goal. The home crowd was not pleased with that one. The game had been on for 43 minutes when
Chai Wen Chi broke through on the right, upping the score for RJ to 0 - 6, much to the home crowd's dismay. It was 0 - 6 at the break. RJ claimed to be the more dominant force in the game, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 55 percent.
RJ's
Chai Ming Seng's early cross saw the defenders caught out of position and the alert
Sapian Yunos was able to pounce and roll the ball past the hapless goalkeeper to make the score 0 - 7. After 49 minutes a combination in the middle resulted in a through ball for
Matias Ã…hman who increased RJ's lead to 0 - 8.
Ahmad Tharmini bin Selamat's lack of experience almost gave RJ a goal after 58 minutes, but the shot went right into the keeper's arms. With 75 minutes on the clock,
Ivaylo Mirchev surprised the guest's goalkeeper with a snappy free kick, which reduced their lead to 1 - 8. Some fine manoeuvring on the left led to a RJ goal after 81 minutes, making it 1 - 9.
Matias Ã…hman was noted down as the scorer. At that,
Matias Ã…hman was noted down for a hat trick. Intentions were certainly good, but the Grilled indirect free kick combination after 82 minutes was easily anticipated by the defenders. That was a textbook example of how to defend a free kick - the attackers were left with few viable options. The visitors'
Matias Ã…hman took advantage of an error due to a misunderstanding between the home side's goalie and central backs 83 minutes into the match. 1 - 10 for RJ. RJ enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 55 percent of possession.
Grilled's top performer was clearly
Dani Spirig. However,
Lan Tuan-Mu made a disastrous appearance. Most important RJ player was
Carlos MarÃa Vernazza.
Alf Andersson was a disappointment, however. The match ends 1 - 10.
