Oceans 2 - 3 Grilled
brilliantly sunny day had enticed a crowd of 50000 to Ocean's Twelve Arena.
Ferenc Nyeste was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Ab Buringa and
Jochen Deffner. A 3-5-2 alignment was the formation of choice for Oceans. The following players took the field: Hofstetter - Etxezaharreta, Tapık, Bekkering - Siong Jia, bin Puteh, Wen Jen, Jakkapak, Romano - Goedgezelschap, Van-Phu.
Grilled started off with a 4-5-1 lineup. Starters: Dias Paes - 辉洪 (Huihong) , Ãrva, Talib, Zywczyn - åºå³° (Tingfeng), MacKinnon, Branbilla, Spirig, è¾¾è£ (Darong) - bin Ku Zainol.
Counter-attacking seemed to be the preferred strategy of Grilled. The sun seemed to put
Sylweriusz Zywczyn in a great mood, and he showed off his technical skills all match long. Oceans made a bid to take the lead as a ball coming in on the right hand side left
Lee Siong Jia completely alone with keeper
Valdir Dias Paes, who made a spectacular block. A quick breakout from defence by Grilled forced the opponent's defender to give away a freekick.
Sylweriusz Zywczyn was allowed to take it quickly by the referee, much to the dismay of the goalkeeper who wasn't prepared. 0 - 1! With 35 minutes played,
Mokhtar bin Puteh went down in a suspected penalty situation after a challenge from the visitors' right fullback, but the referee, having a good line of sight, signalled to keep playing.
Subri bin Ku Zainol finished off the counterattack from the left rather easily, scoring 0 - 2 for Grilled. The local team's free kick specialist
Berend Bekkering, reduced the away team's lead to 1 - 2 with a humdinger of a shot after 37 minutes. Halftime score was 1 - 2. Oceans claimed to be the more dominant force in the game, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 61 percent.
After 65 minutes a combination in the middle resulted in a through ball for
Zoltán Ãrva who increased Grilled's lead to 1 - 3.
Peer Goedgezelschap tried to get a goal back for his Oceans but despite all his hard work down the right, he just couldn't complete. The referee showed Grilled's
Nawaz Talib the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge. At 87 minutes into the game, Oceans's
Qin Van-Phu deftly knocked the ball home after an impressive run down the left, reducing the visitors' lead to 2 - 3. 88 minutes into the game,
Tzur Romano came close to levelling the score with a dangerous shot from the centre of the area that went just over the bar. Oceans enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 63 percent of possession.
Most important Oceans player was
Lee Siong Jia.
Fadıl Tapık was a disappointment, however.
Dani Spirig performed admirably for Grilled. However,
胡 (Hu) 辉洪 (Huihong) made a disastrous appearance. The match ends 2 - 3.
