Grilled 9 - 0 Polisportiva

39 punters turned up at The Cooking Pot, and despite threatening clouds on the horizon, no rain came. Sedrick Petermann was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Hans Erling Lyhne and Eliah Schmittbuhl. Grilled had chosen a strategic 3-5-2 formation. The following players took the field: Bao-Tam - Fjällbratt, Árva, Deme - Chowdhury, Mirchev, Seng-Huat, Branbilla, Penati - bin Yaacob, Hjortlind.

A 3-5-2 alignment was the formation of choice for Polisportiva. They fielded: Matteuzzi - Vainio, Russell, Maristany - Krueger, Grassia, Narváez, Rubio Torrecilla, Carrozza - Farnocchia, Bibo.

Matthias Branbilla gave Grilled the lead with 1 - 0 with a beautiful free kick after 20 minutes. Matthias Branbilla increased Grilled's lead to 2 - 0 with a penalty spot cannonball. Grilled solidified their lead at the 26 minute mark, as Weng Seng-Huat manoeuvered the ball through the opposing central defence and finished for 3 - 0. 32 minutes into the match, the visitors' central line of defence had to look on as Matthias Branbilla dashed through, knocking home 4 - 0 for Grilled. By then Matthias Branbilla was a three time scorer - a hat trick! 39 minutes in, Polisportiva's Pantaleo Bibo received a yellow card for going into a challenge studs first. Grilled added another goal to their lead as Ivaylo Mirchev struck home the 5 - 0 goal after an attack from the left set him up unmarked in front of the keeper. The structure of the game started to change as Grilled decided to pull back and meet their opponents in their own half. 5 - 0 was the halftime score. Grilled enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 62 percent of possession.

Grilled's Tapesh Chowdhury was delighted to score the 6 - 0 goal after he saw his shot go between the legs of the advancing goalkeeper and into the net, following some good attacking movement on the right wing after 56 minutes. The referee showed Grilled's Zoltán Árva the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge. Grilled's Matthias Branbilla saw his fine effort strike the top of the bar following some good work up the middle by his teammates after 79 minutes. Coming in from the right, Polisportiva had a good opportunity to convert on a counterattack after 80 minutes, but Claudio Grassia's attempt to finish was easily stopped. Grilled's Tapesh Chowdhury was delighted to score the 7 - 0 goal after he saw his shot go between the legs of the advancing goalkeeper and into the net, following some good attacking movement on the right wing after 85 minutes. After several obvious shirt pulling incidents, Polisportiva's Jukka Vainio got himself booked. A magnificent combination in the middle resulted in Grilled's Ulf Hjortlind putting the lead up to 8 - 0. Given a free kick at a sharp angle, Grilled went for a variation that loyal fans may recognize from training. A sideways passing move moved the defence out of position and let Mohd Firdaus bin Yaacob slip through on goal. No hesitation - and it's 9 - 0, 88 minutes into the game. After 90 minutes Polisportiva's Antonio Farnocchia contracted a slight foot injury, but could finish the game. Grilled held the ball, with a clear 64 percent of possession.

The most dominating Grilled player was without a doubt Matthias Branbilla. On the other hand, Weng Seng-Huat's play was disheartening. Polisportiva's best player was Antonio Narváez. On the other hand, Carmine Matteuzzi's play was disheartening. The match ends 9 - 0.
