Bears 4 - 1 Grilled

83 spectators had come to Ural Bears Arena this cloudy day. Martin Surböck was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Kaarle Vehkalahti and Rony Kernen. Bears had chosen a strategic 3-4-3 formation. The following players had been chosen: Eastman - Pettersson, Hughes, Ovsianikov - Bounine, Kusch, Larsson, Yi-Tan - Trubin, Angerjas, Rijnders.

Grilled had chosen a strategic 3-5-2 formation. The following players had been chosen: Öhmo - Pakpao, Tuan-Mu, bin Che Lah - Kolesov, Stanton, Paullin, Rottman, Magnusson - Chiew-Yen, Stern.

Riny Rijnders gave Bears the lead with 1 - 0, as he successfully challenged the guests' central defenders, then placed the ball unreachably at the keeper's right post. Bears's Gerald Hughes got himself booked for a foul. After 23 minutes, Gerald Hughes put Bears ahead 2 - 0 when he rose to head in a hooked ball, the result of an effort from the right side. Magnus E. Larsson of Bears received a yellow card after 26 minutes for unsportsmanlike behaviour. A great save by keeper Frank Öhmo after 27 minutes kept the visitors in the game after Erik Trubin struck from the left with a real cannonball. 29 minutes into the match Grilled's Nui Pakpao head butted an opponent nastily, and so the referee sent him off immediately. 2 - 0 was the halftime score. Bears held the ball, with a clear 62 percent of possession.

A bit later, Grilled's Chen Chiew-Yen easily reduced to 2 - 1 after a misunderstanding in the home side's central defence. The referee showed Grilled's Nor Suhaimi bin Che Lah the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge. 65 minutes into the match, the visitors' central line of defence had to look on as Karl Angerjas dashed through, knocking home 3 - 1 for Bears. After this, Bears lowered the tempo in order to concentrate on their defensive efforts. A speedy charge from the left side of the field increased Bears's lead to 4 - 1 as Magnus E. Larsson finished it off competently, firing from an acute angle. Bears's Kenneth Pettersson got himself booked for a foul. Grilled were forced to a substitution as Nor Suhaimi bin Che Lah couldn't continue playing due to the rough treatment, forcing Weng Seng-Huat to come in from the sidelines. Bears claimed to be the more dominant force in the game, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 70 percent.

The most dominating Bears player was without a doubt Riny Rijnders. Ivan Eastman was a disappointment, however. Grilled's best player was Asher Stanton. Chen Chiew-Yen on the other hand, had a terrible day. The match ends 4 - 1.
