Ghinzu 7 - 0 Grilled

rk skies made the crowd of 4176 at Area 51 a little nervous, but the rain held off. Norbert Nijs was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Espen Hagen and Fabrizio Camarda. Ghinzu had chosen a strategic 3-5-2 formation. The following players took the field: Feng Jin - Wee Ze, bin Burhan, bin Hamzah - bin Muhammad Fahmi, Signoriello, Jacobsson, Vladičić, bin Abdul Wahid - bin Yub Abdul Majid, Subramanian.

Grilled started off with a 3-5-2 lineup. The following players took the field: Huel-sheng - Seng-Huat, Bona, Alcántara - Chowdhury, Fjällbratt, van Liere, Deme, Penati - Mirchev, bin Yaacob.

Ghinzu had a good opportunity to take the lead as Dhrupad Subramanian came up the left side, but he struck the ball weakly and it went straight into the arms of Cheung Huel-sheng. The referee showed Ghinzu's Guido Signoriello the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge. Ghinzu took the lead, 1 - 0, after a penalty 25 minutes into the match. Dhrupad Subramanian scored from the penalty spot. Many in the crowd felt the referee was being too lenient when he only showed Ghinzu's Lukas Jacobsson a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 26 minutes into the game. Grilled's Ivaylo Mirchev went down after a savage challenge, but could continue playing after some medical attention. Tay Wee Ze behaved like an inexperienced youth player after 30 minutes as he gave the ball away to Ciro Penati. Lucky for him though, there was no goal. Ghinzu's Mohd Sofi bin Burhan was delighted to score the 2 - 0 goal after he saw his shot go between the legs of the advancing goalkeeper and into the net, following some good attacking movement on the right wing after 32 minutes. Confident in their lead, Ghinzu decided to play a more defensive game at this point. Ghinzu put themselves up 3 - 0 when Mohd Azmani bin Muhammad Fahmi broke through on the right, leaving the entire defensive box behind him. Ghinzu's Teow Feng Jin left the field after 39 minutes because of a nasty blow to the shin. His replacement was Bruno Carmo. 3 - 0 was the halftime score. Ghinzu held the ball, with a clear 77 percent of possession.

With 52 minutes played, Ghinzu's Lukas Jacobsson tried to nail the coffin shut, but his shot from the left glanced off the top of the bar to fall behind the net. Ghinzu solidified their lead at the 56 minute mark, as Zabidi bin Abdul Wahid manoeuvered the ball through the opposing central defence and finished for 4 - 0. A magnificent combination in the middle resulted in Ghinzu's Guido Signoriello putting the lead up to 5 - 0. Cheers filled the stadium as Tay Wee Ze broke through the visitors' central defence to put away the 6 - 0 goal for Ghinzu. Ghinzu's Dhrupad Subramanian was shown a yellow card after 70 minutes for slicing down an opponent. A magnificent combination in the middle resulted in Ghinzu's Dhrupad Subramanian putting the lead up to 7 - 0. Ivaylo Mirchev of Grilled received a yellow card after 76 minutes for unsportsmanlike behaviour. The forty-five minutes were dominated by Ghinzu, with an impressive 76 percent possession of the ball.

Ghinzu's best player was Antonio Vladičić. Bruno Carmo on the other hand, had a terrible day. Grilled's top performer was clearly Mohd Firdaus bin Yaacob. On the other hand, Cheung Huel-sheng's play was disheartening. The match ends 7 - 0.
