Grilled 6 - 1 Anduin-baton

was an exceptionally sunny day for the crowd of 2465 that came out to The Cooking Pot. Giuseppe Leandri was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Robbe Wouters and Charles Ruhm. Grilled had chosen a strategic 3-4-3 formation. They fielded: Bao-Tam - bin Che Lah, Tuan-Mu, Talib - van Liere, Fjällbratt, Jun Chang, Jie Siong - Mirchev, Hjortlind, bin Yaacob.

Anduin-baton tactics involved an interesting 4-4-2 combination. They fielded: Turovskiy - Buka, Reutskiy, Andreev, Antokolskiy - Adamov, Bobretsov, Knysh, Karyalaynen - Cardaccio, Shepel.

Grilled saw most attack opportunities on the wings. Anduin-baton seemed to prefer attacking in the middle. Ivaylo Mirchev gave Grilled the lead with 1 - 0, as he successfully challenged the guests' central defenders, then placed the ball unreachably at the keeper's right post. The sun seemed to put Pavel Reutskiy in a great mood, and he showed off his technical skills all match long. After an industrious effort down the middle, Ivaylo Mirchev could have closed the game off after 36 minutes, but his finishing shot hit the post. 37 minutes into the match, the visitors' central line of defence had to look on as Peter Fjällbratt dashed through, knocking home 2 - 0 for Grilled. Things were going to get worse for the visitors. Fu Jun Chang squirmed himself through their central defence after 38 minutes, bringing the lead to 3 - 0. Many in the crowd felt the referee was being too lenient when he only showed Grilled's Nor Suhaimi bin Che Lah a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 39 minutes into the game. With 40 minutes played, Grilled put themselves up 4 - 0 when the visiting defenders lost the ball to Nawaz Talib, who came up from the left and proceeded to coolly round the keeper and knock the ball home. At this point in the game, defending their lead became the main priority for Grilled. The teams went for the halftime break at 4 - 0. Grilled claimed to be the more dominant force in the game, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 75 percent.

Mohd Firdaus bin Yaacob had a fantastic opportunity to put Grilled up another goal 46 minutes into the match, but he fired just over the crossbar. Ulf Hjortlind gave Grilled supporters even more to cheer about when he increased the lead to 5 - 0 after 48 minutes, following a good exchange of passes on the right that the away team failed to deal with. Peter Fjällbratt of Grilled was booked for kicking the ball away after the whistle. Grilled put in a good effort on the right, but Hidde van Liere saw his volley fly wide of the mark 72 minutes into the game. Sergey Shepel of Anduin-baton received a yellow card after 85 minutes for unsportsmanlike behaviour. Anduin-baton reduced to 5 - 1 on a penalty laid down perfectly at the left post by Pavel Reutskiy. 88 minutes into the match, the visitors' central line of defence had to look on as Ulf Hjortlind dashed through, knocking home 6 - 1 for Grilled. This half belonged to Grilled, who controlled the ball 76 percent of the time.

Grilled's best player was Lee Jie Siong. Lan Tuan-Mu on the other hand, had a terrible day. Anduin-baton's best player was Valery Antokolskiy. Yury Bobretsov turned in a dismal performance, however. The match ends 6 - 1.
