Barbababa 1 - 3 Grilled
irly good weather for football had drawn a crowd of 5641 to Hornankattila Arena.
Henrik Pieron was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Marek Kmieć and
Andri Bamert. Barbababa tactics involved an interesting 4-4-2 combination. Lineup: Houeix - Rosini, Olano, Lenz, Sairinen - Dolunay, Moral, Kupari, Lautala - Kraushofer, Rönntorp.
Grilled had chosen a strategic 3-5-2 formation. The following players took the field: Abed-Sulaiman - Alcántara, Seng-Huat, Bona - Chuan Jing, Jie Siong, Abd Hamid, Swee Pheng, Ødegaard - bin Yaacob, Hjortlind.
Grilled took the lead 20 minutes into the game, scoring the 0 - 1 goal after some elegant plays down the middle.
Ulf Hjortlind was the scorer. The game had been on for 26 minutes when
Mohd Firdaus bin Yaacob broke through on the right, upping the score for Grilled to 0 - 2, much to the home crowd's dismay. Barbababa's
Severin Kraushofer got the home crowd going when he finished off a left wing charge, reducing the away team's lead to 1 - 2. 38 minutes into the match, the visitors put themselves ahead 1 - 3 as
Allan Ødegaard finished off an attack from the left with a spectacular scissors kick. 1 - 3 was the halftime score. The forty-five minutes were dominated by Grilled, with an impressive 52 percent possession of the ball.
Barbababa had a brilliant opportunity to reply as
Petri Kupari received a high ball from the right, striking the ball in the air. Only
Ahmed Abed-Sulaiman's reflexes saved him. Barbababa claimed to be the more dominant force in the game, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 67 percent.
Petri Kupari performed admirably for Barbababa. However,
Federico Rosini made a disastrous appearance. Grilled's top performer was clearly
Ahmed Abed-Sulaiman.
Weng Seng-Huat was a disappointment, however. The match ends 1 - 3.
