Bluedragon 1 - 4 Grilled
433 spectators had come to Great Bluedragon Stadium this cloudy day.
Samuele Epifani was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Ricardo Tejero and
Pierre Morel. Everyone was excited about the upcoming derby and the crowd was divided evenly. Bluedragon had chosen a strategic 3-4-3 formation. The following players had been chosen: Jeremy - Bokland, Wennborn, Geurden - Geoghegan, Sörensson, Rolandsson, Åhlner - Irvan, Manaf, Wai-Ming.
Grilled started off with a 3-5-2 lineup. The following players had been chosen: Öhmo - Dewilde, Tuan-Mu, Pakpao - Stanton, Kek-Tjiang, Noor Yadah, Tellskär, Blissenbach - Hjortlind, Kearney.
Bluedragon clearly preferred using their ability to attack in the middle. Grilled's
Ulf Hjortlind gave the visitors a 0 - 1 lead after 8 minutes with a superb strike from the right. Bluedragon's
Frangky Manaf put his head to a well placed ball, lifted in from the left, and scored the 1 - 1 goal with 25 minutes showing on the scoreboard clock. 1 - 1 was the halftime score. Grilled held the ball, with a clear 59 percent of possession.
With 55 minutes played, the visitors broke through on the right after some poor defending.
Johan Dewilde put the ball away for 1 - 2. A corner kick created great disorder in the penalty area with a goal nearly scored by
Tim Blissenbach. At last, Grilled's
Nui Pakpao was able to shove the ball in. 1-3. A surprising free kick routine after 78 minutes nearly resulted in another goal for the visitors, but the ball went just a little wide.
Wilson Kearney increased the visitors' lead by putting a volley shot away on a pass from the right. 1 - 4. After 85 minutes of game time,
Ulf Hjortlind had an excellent opportunity to add to the visitors' lead, clipping a volley hooked in from the right, but
Jamie Jeremy was in the right place and tipped the ball to a corner. Grilled held the ball, with a clear 60 percent of possession.
The most dominating Bluedragon player was without a doubt
Gai Wai-Ming.
Robbie Geoghegan was a disappointment, however. Most important Grilled player was
Daniel Tellskär.
Frank Öhmo was a disappointment, however. The match ends 1 - 4.
