Grilled 3 - 2 Stars
ear skies welcomed the 84867 spectators who had made their way to The Cooking Pot.
Elie Rougerie was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Abe van Gelder and
Érnest Gaude. Grilled tactics involved an interesting 3-5-2 combination. Lineup: Abed-Sulaiman - Zywczyn, FredgÃ¥rd, Bona - Jie Siong, Han Kok, Kek-Tjiang, Paullin, Spirig - van Liere, Simon.
Stars started off with a 4-4-2 lineup. The following players took the field: Da-Hoon - Kahr, Brot, Dicu, Everbratt - Ståhlell, Klaghofer, Félix, Miljenović - Gutmann, Rudolf.
Stars clearly had decided to counter-attack when they could. After 12 minutes, a well-worked counterattack by Stars on the right presented an easy opportunity in front of the goal that was duly converted by
Ulrich Rudolf to make it 0 - 1. Many in the crowd felt the referee was being too lenient when he only showed Grilled's
Sylweriusz Zywczyn a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 14 minutes into the game. 15 minutes into the match, the visitors put themselves ahead 0 - 2 as
Halil Gutmann finished off an attack from the left with a spectacular scissors kick. 20 minutes into the match, Grilled's
Dani Spirig collected a ball sent down the right and put it in the back of the net, narrowing the score to 1 - 2.
João Félix received some harsh words from his coach after he acted foolishly 22 minutes into the match, probably out of lack of experience, and almost let an opponent score. 1 - 2 was the score after the first half. This half belonged to Grilled, who controlled the ball 86 percent of the time.
A series of fine plays up the middle should have led to a goal for Grilled, but
Anders Fredgård's shot went over the bar. After a scuffle in the guest's penalty area 62 minutes into the game, the home team was awarded a penalty.
Sylweriusz Zywczyn scored to make it 2 - 2. Grilled's
Lorenz Paullin was shown a yellow card after 64 minutes for slicing down an opponent. A loud groan was heard from the fans of Stars, as
Halil Gutmann left the pitch in too much pain to finish the match.
Walker Knight took his place on the field.
Dani Spirig gave Grilled the lead with 3 - 2, as he successfully challenged the guests' central defenders, then placed the ball unreachably at the keeper's right post.
Lorenz Paullin knew he was in trouble after pulling back an opponent. Despite his pleading with the referee, the Grilled player was shown a second yellow card and dismissed from the game. The forty-five minutes were dominated by Grilled, with an impressive 86 percent possession of the ball.
Grilled's top performer was clearly
Ahmed Abed-Sulaiman.
Lee Jie Siong turned in a dismal performance, however. Stars's top performer was clearly
Mathias Brot. However,
João Félix made a disastrous appearance. The match ends 3 - 2.
