Aurochs 4 - 3 Grilled

scorching day at KOEI Ari-na, where 58000 spectators were in place for today's match. Nico Benedict was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Per Dalin and Hu Tung. A 3-4-3 alignment was the formation of choice for Aurochs. They fielded: Schneßl - Fadana, Paixão, Dacroce - Lannerbeck, Godeanu, Narin, Mironavičius - Lero, Kıraç, van der Veen.

Grilled decided to use a 3-5-2 set up. The following players took the field: Abed-Sulaiman - Zywczyn, Fredgård, Bona - Spirig, Han Kok, Kek-Tjiang, Paullin, van Liere - Martinsson, Simon.

Using their counter-attacking abilities was the strategy of choice for Grilled on this day. Patrik Lannerbeck's speed is always a threat when he gets a little room to move, and 6 minutes into the match was no different as he broke free of his man to send a snappy through ball to Božidar Lero who knocked it in for Aurochs. 1-0! With 7 minutes played, Aurochs put themselves up 2 - 0 when the visiting defenders lost the ball to Klemansas Mironavičius, who came up from the left and proceeded to coolly round the keeper and knock the ball home. The visitors got one back when Dimitri Simon finished off a pass from the left and scored after 26 minutes. 2 - 1 was the score. Anghel Godeanu had a fantastic opportunity to put Aurochs up another goal 31 minutes into the match, but he fired just over the crossbar. The referee showed Aurochs's Patrik Lannerbeck the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge. After 42 minutes, a couple of quick and successful challenges followed by a shot from just outside the penalty area by Alberto Paixão might have resulted in another goal for Aurochs. However, Ahmed Abed-Sulaiman made a spectacular save. 2 - 1 was the halftime score. Aurochs enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 61 percent of possession.

Grilled's Lorenz Paullin had to watch the rest of the game from the sidelines, after twisting his ankle with 71 minutes having been played. Lee Jie Siong was the replacement. Fokko van der Veen gave Aurochs supporters even more to cheer about when he increased the lead to 3 - 1 after 72 minutes, following a good exchange of passes on the right that the away team failed to deal with. The suddenness of the Grilled's Hidde van Liere's pass to Ola Martinsson after 73 mintues caught the opposition wrong-footed, and they could only watch as the ball sailed home for 3 - 2. A really bad tackle inside the penalty area 76 minutes into the match gave the referee no other choice but to award the visiting Grilled a penalty. Sylweriusz Zywczyn knocked home the 3 - 3 goal. Božidar Lero of Aurochs was booked for kicking the ball away after the whistle. Božidar Lero gave Aurochs the lead with 4 - 3, as he successfully challenged the guests' central defenders, then placed the ball unreachably at the keeper's right post. Aurochs enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 70 percent of possession.

The most dominating Aurochs player was without a doubt Anghel Godeanu. However, Oscar Dacroce made a disastrous appearance. Most important Grilled player was Ahmed Abed-Sulaiman. Dani Spirig turned in a dismal performance, however. The match ends 4 - 3.
