Grilled Birds fielded a 2-5-3 lineup. For THE BIG BAYERN, the formation of choice was a 3-5-2. After 6 minutes cheers broke out as
Chia Kwang Tse found his way through the guests' central defensive line, rattling the 1 - 0 goal in off the woodwork for Grilled. Things were going from bad to worse for the visitors.
Lim An Keng was able to squirm through the central defense after 9 minutes and score, bringing the lead to 2 - 0. Grilled put themselves up 3 - 0 when
Chad Thach broke through on the right, leaving the entire defensive delegation behind him. After 23 minutes, the excellent pass from the wing by Grilled's
Paulino Trindade reached
Chia Kwang Tse's head, and he is not one to miss such an opportunity - 4 - 0. After 24 minutes, a couple of quick and successful challenges followed by a shot from just outside the penalty area by
Paulino Trindade might have resulted in another goal for Grilled. However,
Bogusław Gołda made a spectacular save.
Martial Cailleaux had a good opportunity to reply with a break through the middle, but the home team's goalkeeper
Dimitris Germanakos just wouldn't be beat. Halftime score was 4 - 0. Now to our celebrity commentator for a hot take. Over to you, Snoop! 61 minutes had passed when Grilled put themselves up 5 - 0 after the visiting defenders lost the ball to
Hwang Teck Fu, who came up from the left and proceeded to easily go around the goalkeeper and knock the ball home. Grilled's
Aw Keng Chuan was shown a yellow card after 62 minutes for slicing down an opponent.
The visitors got a chance to pulling one back after 68 minutes, due to a defensive blunder leaving
Nedim Softić completely unmarked. His strike was pathetic though, rolling slowly to the home side's keeper. Grilled solidified their lead at the 70 minute mark, as
Chia Kwang Tse snaked the ball through the central line of defense and finished for 6 - 0. That was his third goal of the match - a hattrick for
Chia Kwang Tse! That's the name of the game! The crowd roared its approval when
Dimitris Germanakos somehow managed to block what seemed to be a certain goal by tbb's
Baltazar Kieloch 71 minutes into the match.
Raúl Himadas's curling free kick almost found the goal for Grilled, but the visitors' keeper somehow managed to get ahold of it. 89 minutes into the game, Grilled wanted to bring some new energy to their game.
Aw Keng Chuan gave
Damian Hutter a quick hug as he left the field. It was announced by the fourth official that he estimated stoppage time to be around 2 minutes. This meant there could still be an extra attack or two left in the match! tbb fought on, and after 89 minutes,
Nedim Softić was able to increase the goal tally to 6 - 1 after some excellent moves on the right side were finished off with a smart lob. After several obvious shirt pulling incidents, tbb's
Nedim Softić got himself booked. The match ends 6 - 1. Looks like our neighborhood Nostradamus was right again - his prediction that Grilled would have 59 percent possession in this half was spot on!
Most important Grilled player was
Lim An Keng. I can't remember
Dimitris Germanakos ever having a worse night than he just had. tbb's top performer was clearly
Jorge Jacinto das Neves. Even six year old fans were wincing at the poor play by
Grzymisław Skalik today.
