Munich Bengal Tigers started the game in a 3-5-2 formation, whereas Grilled Birds lined up in a 2-5-3. Grilled seemed to prefer attacking in the middle, using their divine (+9) (29) ability to great effect. Down the middle came
Mohd Marzuki Khairul, making a fantastic play that nearly saw Grilled take the lead after 9 minutes, but
Gonzalo Dávila preserved the tie. Grilled took the lead 10 minutes into the game, making the score 0 - 1 after some elegant movement down the middle.
Gandhik Chitre was the scorer. Grilled had a good opportunity to attack on the wing, but remembered their instructions to go for middle instead. The ball was in the back of the home team's net yet again after 17 minutes, but this time the referee called the goal back because
Gandhik Chitre had knocked a member of the opposing team to the ground while the play occurred down the middle of the field. Halftime score was 0 - 1. Grilled did a good job holding on to the ball, with 54 percent of possession. We'll be back after these interminable commercial messages.
Due to some great work on the right wing MBT's
Siim Lipp was able to even the score 52 minutes in to 1 - 1. The visiting
Chia Kwang Tse was booed thoroughly by the home crowd 59 minutes into the game, after he broke through the middle and scored, resulting in the visitors taking the lead. 1 - 2 was the score. 60 minutes into the match, the referee signaled for a Grilled substitution.
Hong Kang Leong came on for
Aw Keng Chuan.
Aw Keng Chuan was coming off, and had taken his last free kick for the day. That meant
Hong Kang Leong got the chance to showcase his dead ball skills. After 61 minutes of play,
Enamul Moez equalized for MBT after a hard charging attack from the right. After 70 minutes,
Alfredo Serrano sprinted between the opposing defenders and laid the ball off to
Enamul Moez, whose shot was saved by the keeper. After 73 minutes cheers broke out as
Siim Lipp found his way through the guests' central defensive line, rattling the 3 - 2 goal in off the woodwork for MBT.
Spike Matlis increased MBT's lead to 4 - 2, connecting with a hooked ball from the right. The away fans are claiming handball, to no avail. The visitors replied 77 minutes into the game, reducing the lead to 4 - 3, as
Chia Kwang Tse dashed up the middle and chipped the ball over the home team's keeper. 85 minutes into the game, Grilled wanted to bring some new energy to their game.
Gandhik Chitre gave
Chan Ze Han a quick hug as he left the field. The players were tired, but when the referee announced that there would be 2 minutes of added time, they welcomed the extra opportunity to make an impact. After 90 minutes, MBT's lack of experience resulted in the team's loss of their edge at the end of the game. The match ends 4 - 3. Now to our celebrity commentator for a hot take. Over to you, Snoop! MBT's top performer was clearly
Baginda Surbakti. I can't remember
Mehmud Salim ever having a worse night than he just had. Grilled's best player was
Mohd Marzuki Khairul. Good thing
Dimitris Germanakos isn't a horse, because he'd surely be sent to the glue factory after that performance.
