Grilled 1 - 6 Feeders
Due to an all-day shower, the spectators got to see a match on a pitch-turned-bog. The rain was pouring down, it was the kind of weather favoured by strong players who stick to simple football. For players possessing of speed or technical skills, the day really was as grim as for everyone else. The following players had been selected:

The coaches were in sync today, as both teams lined up in a 2-5-3 formation. Feeders went for a narrow approach, using their divine (+5) (25) ability to focus their attacks down the middle. After 11 minutes, Feeders's
Afonso Casado made his way through the middle and nonchalantly placed the ball out of the keeper's reach, putting the visitors up 0 - 1.
Dimitris Germanakos got a fingertip on
Afonso Casado's shot from the left 14 minutes in, and managed to keep the visitors from going up another goal.
Estéfano Whitaker was doing a great job on the wing, sending in a brilliant pass to his teammates in the middle, but
Juan Pedro de Ávila seemed unable to profit from this excellent service. Due to some great work on the right wing Grilled's
Lim An Keng was able to even the score 25 minutes in to 1 - 1. Grilled's coach was furious with
Chia Kwang Tse after he picked up a yellow for saying one too many words to the ref. A mistake by the home side's central defense after 29 minutes allowed
Atanas Danev to score for Feeders. The visitors have the lead, 1 - 2. After more pushing and shoving than a pack of helicopter moms trying to get the last appointment for their snowflakes to see the Easter Bunny, Grilled's
Brian 'Was Born' Reddy finally got himself booked for a foul. The teams went for the halftime break at 1 - 2. Looks like Nate Silver was right again - his prediction that Feeders would have 53 percent possession in this half was spot on!
After 54 minutes, Feeders's
Jurgen Meekhof burst through the central defense and let loose a cannonball of a shot, scoring for 1 - 3. Some lightning fast dribbles by
Chan Ze Han left
Imre Lits way behind after 58 minutes, but the shot was just wide. A thrilling play through the middle after 72 minutes gave Feeders's
Felipe Ladron de Guevara a chance to increase the lead, and he happily obliged. The score was then 1 - 4. The visitors'
Estéfano Whitaker took advantage of a mix-up between the home side's goalie and center backs 75 minutes into the match. 1 - 5 for Feeders. With the clock showing 85 minutes, the fourth official held up the substitution board.
Brian 'Was Born' Reddy looked to see that it was his number in red, so he made his way over to the sideline and swapped out for
Paulino Trindade, though he would have liked to continue. As the 89 minute mark approached, the Grilled manager decided it was time for a substitution.
Chan Ze Han reluctantly made way for
José Luiz Velho. With
Chan Ze Han no longer on the field,
Aw Keng Chuan was the new set pieces taker. The fourth official announced that there would be 2 minutes of stoppage time, giving fans a slim hope that their team could get one more attack in before this was all over. Feeders's
Afonso Casado received a ball slotted perfectly through the home side's central defense after 89 minutes, and chipped it past the helpless keeper to increase the lead to 1 - 6. The away fans won't regret traveling for this one! The home side worked their way through the middle and almost got one back when
Paulino Trindade tried to sneak the ball past the keeper. However,
Levan Maghadadze was too alert for that! The match ends 1 - 6. Let's go to the Twittersphere to see what the fans think of the game so far! says Most important Grilled player was
Gandhik Chitre. Even six year old fans were wincing at the poor play by
José Luiz Velho today. The most outstanding Feeders player was without a doubt
Jurgen Meekhof. Good thing
Juan Pedro de Ávila isn't a horse, because he'd surely be sent to the glue factory after that performance.
