Tassili 2 - 3 Grilled

It was an exceptionally sunny day for the crowd that came out to the stadium today. The weather was sunny, which meant perfect conditions for technical players in both teams. However, it was also quite warm, which meant quick or physically strong players were drained faster and couldn't play their best game. Lineup: Leitinger - Fuenzalida, Verdejo - Zabala, Ouadah, Nadłonek, Hadjeb, Bouchahda - Nafa, Bedad, Benghalia.

The following players took the field: Germanakos - Keng Chuan, 其材 (Qicai) - Reddy, Thach, Kwang Tse, Khairul, Teck Fu - Chitre, Ze Han, An Keng.

As the teams spread out over the pitch, it became clear that they would both be using a 2-5-3 formation today. Grilled clearly preferred using their divine (+8) (28) ability to attack in the middle today. Tassili fans held their breath as Ali Nafa gallivanted down the left side. He successfully avoided all challenges and fired home the go-ahead goal for 1 - 0! Maybe Chia Kwang Tse should join the aquatics team instead. He went down dramatically after 18 minutes, crying out with agony as he fell. The referee was not impressed, though, and showed him a yellow for diving. Chan Ze Han came close to leveling the score 24 minutes into the game, as he was set up with a through ball coming in from the left, but his shot hit the post. A free kick just outside of the visitors' penalty area after 28 minutes could have resulted in another goal, but Dimitris Germanakos got a hand out and tipped the ball over the bar. Central attacks were the recipe of the day for Grilled, and they were successfully passing the ball from the wing into the middle at the behest of their coach. Grilled leveled the score after 29 minutes to make it 1 - 1, as 夏 (Ha) 其材 (Qicai) struck home after a fine midfield combination through the middle left him completely unmarked. After more pushing and shoving than a pack of helicopter moms trying to get the last appointment for their snowflakes to see the Easter Bunny, Tassili's Ricardo Fuenzalida finally got himself booked for a foul. Grilled had a good opportunity to score the go-ahead goal after a combination on the right but the home team's keeper Gabriel Leitinger saved Mohd Marzuki Khairul's shot that was headed straight to the top corner. Ricardo Fuenzalida knew he was in trouble after hacking down an opponent. Despite his pleading with the referee, the Tassili player was shown a second yellow card and dismissed from the game. With Ricardo Fuenzalida no longer on the field, Pedro Verdejo was the new set pieces taker. Pedro Verdejo became the new Tassili captain. Halftime score was 1 - 1. Now to our celebrity commentator for a hot take. Over to you, Snoop! As the 46 minute mark approached, the Grilled manager decided it was time for a substitution. Chan Ze Han reluctantly made way for Joe Reece. As Chan Ze Han left the field, the coach signaled to Aw Keng Chuan to start taking the set pieces that occurred. Grilled's Aw Keng Chuan managed to lose the defenders as he burst through the right side and scored, putting the visitors ahead, 1 - 2. The away team's 夏 (Ha) 其材 (Qicai) took advantage of a mistake on the home side's right after 71 minutes increasing Grilled's lead to 1 - 3. After 77 minutes, the Tassili coach wanted to see a new face on the field, waving Mohamed Ali Hadjeb off. Fattah Oudjit took his place. By working their way through the middle, Tassili refused to be intimidated – their efforts finally led to Merzak Bedad managing to slip the ball past the keeper to make the score 2 - 3. With the clock showing 85 minutes, the fourth official held up the substitution board. Brian 'Was Born' Reddy looked to see that it was his number in red, so he made his way over to the sideline and swapped out for Paulino Trindade, though he would have liked to continue. As the match nears its end, the referee deemed it appropriate to add 2 minutes as stoppage time. The match ends 2 - 3. Well, look at this! Cardi B is on the Enormotron in naught but giant sunglasses and a Twisted Metal F.C. tank top. I've not seen anything like it before. Zyad Benghalia performed admirably for Tassili. Speaking of stinking up the place, Gabriel Leitinger sure smelled like the bottom of Batman's shoe after a night of crimefighting in Gotham. Most important Grilled player was Gandhik Chitre. You can tell it was nickel beer night yesterday at the local bar because Dimitris Germanakos seemed to stumble all over the pitch.
