Grilled 4 - 0 Deportivo

Weather conditions were pretty good for football today. Starters: Germanakos - Keng Chuan, 其材 (Qicai) - Reddy, Thach, Kwang Tse, Khairul, Parada - Chitre, Ze Han, An Keng.

They fielded: Martos Blázquez - Akbaş, Jungbauer, Machado - Mora, Pines, Markov, Jansson, Solórzano - Just, Miglietta.

Grilled Birds fielded a 2-5-3 lineup. For Deportivo Pasto, the formation of choice was a 3-5-2. With 2 minutes played, Chan Ze Han came in from the right with the intention of giving Grilled the lead, but his rocket of a shot could only rattle the crossbar. With 7 minutes gone, the home side took a 1 - 0 lead as Chia Kwang Tse raced down the right flank and casually flipped the ball into the net after a searing cross from the far side of the pitch. Brian 'Was Born' Reddy gave Grilled supporters even more to cheer about when he increased the lead to 2 - 0 after 12 minutes, following a good exchange of passes on the right that the away team failed to deal with. A great save by keeper Juan Martos Blázquez with 17 minutes gone kept the visitors in the game after Brian 'Was Born' Reddy struck from the left with a real cannonball. Coming in from the right, Mohd Marzuki Khairul almost managed to score another goal for Grilled, but his header was kept out by the lightning fast reflexes of the visiting keeper. Grilled's 夏 (Ha) 其材 (Qicai) saw his fine effort strike the top of the bar following some good work up the middle by his teammates 21 minutes in. The teams went for the halftime break at 2 - 0. Now to our celebrity commentator for a hot take. Over to you, Snoop! 46 minutes into the game, Grilled wanted to bring some new energy to their game. Chan Ze Han gave Joe Reece a quick hug as he left the field. A speedy charge from the left side of the field increased Grilled's lead to 3 - 0 as Federico Parada finished it off clinically, firing the shot from a terrible angle. After 70 minutes, Gandhik Chitre put Grilled ahead 4 - 0 when he rose to head in a hooked ball, the result of an effort from the right side. Brian 'Was Born' Reddy let loose a swerving effort from the right that the visitors' keeper did well to tip wide. After 82 minutes, following yet another great corner, Manuel Just knocked the ball to Ramiro Mora but it was just too high and the shot came off at a bad angle. After 85 minutes, the Grilled coach wanted to see a new face on the field, waving Brian 'Was Born' Reddy off. Paulino Trindade took his place. As the match nears its end, the referee deemed it appropriate to add 2 minutes as stoppage time. Chad Thach could have put Grilled up one more, but he fired into the side netting after breaking free on the left after 90 minutes. The match ends 4 - 0. Grilled did a good job holding on to the ball, with 61 percent of possession. We'll be back after these interminable commercial messages.

Grilled's best player was Gandhik Chitre. You can tell it was nickel beer night yesterday at the local bar because Dimitris Germanakos seemed to stumble all over the pitch. Adriano Miglietta performed admirably for Deportivo. Even six year old fans were wincing at the poor play by Carlos Machado today.
