Grilled 6 - 2 Nightfly

The weather was pretty good at the stadium today for the match. Lineup: Germanakos - Keng Chuan, 其材 (Qicai) - Reddy, Thach, Kwang Tse, Khairul, Parada - Chitre, Ze Han, An Keng.

The following players had been selected: Ftouxeleftherias - Portela, Assade, Mkapa - Gsottberger, Batistuta, Tedeschi, Allen - Plet, Mathiasson, Kim.

Grilled Birds fielded a 2-5-3 lineup. For Nightfly, the formation of choice was a 3-4-3. After 2 minutes cheers broke out as 夏 (Ha) 其材 (Qicai) found his way through the guests' central defensive line, rattling the 1 - 0 goal in off the woodwork for Grilled. Things were going from bad to worse for the visitors. Chan Ze Han was able to squirm through the central defense after 6 minutes and score, bringing the lead to 2 - 0. The clock read 7 minutes and things were deteriorating for the away team as Grilled scored another to make it 3 - 0 after a left side attack resulted in a goal for Gandhik Chitre. 26 minutes in, an amazing pass from the left side resulted in a golden chance for the visitors. Jung-Hoon Kim was up to the task and scored, bringing them up to 3 - 1. It was 3 - 1 at the break. Now to our celebrity commentator for a hot take. Over to you, Snoop! As the 46 minute mark approached, the Grilled manager decided it was time for a substitution. Chan Ze Han reluctantly made way for Joe Reece. Grilled solidified their lead at the 49 minute mark, as Federico Parada snaked the ball through the central line of defense and finished for 4 - 1. The visitors got one back when Jung-Hoon Kim finished off a play from the left and scored after 55 minutes. 4 - 2 was the score. A speedy charge from the left side of the field increased Grilled's lead to 5 - 2 as Joe Reece finished it off clinically, firing the shot from a terrible angle. 89 minutes into the match, the referee signaled for a Nightfly substitution. Carl-Gösta Åkerbrant came on for Jan-Erik Mathiasson. With Jan-Erik Mathiasson no longer on the field, Kaskazini Mkapa was the new set pieces taker. After 89 minutes, the Nightfly coach wanted to see a new face on the field, waving Charis Ftouxeleftherias off. Merkys Mulokas took his place. 89 minutes into the game, Nightfly wanted to bring some new energy to their game. Agostino Gsottberger gave Barney Regis a quick hug as he left the field. As Nightfly's captain went off, he handed the armband to Gregory Plet. The referee decided to let play continue for an additional 2 beyond the regular 90 minutes. Grilled's Chia Kwang Tse was delighted to score as he saw his shot go between the legs of the advancing keeper and into the net, following some good attacking movement on the right wing. 6 - 2 after 89 minutes. The match ends 6 - 2. Grilled did a good job holding on to the ball, with 58 percent of possession. We'll be back after these interminable commercial messages.

Gandhik Chitre performed admirably for Grilled. I can't remember Dimitris Germanakos ever having a worse night than he just had. The most outstanding Nightfly player was without a doubt Gregory Plet. You can tell it was nickel beer night yesterday at the local bar because Barney Regis seemed to stumble all over the pitch.
