After 24 minutes of play, Mohd Marzuki Khairul evened things up for Grilled with an impressive goal coming up the middle. 1 - 1. After 28 minutes, Kozmoz put themselves up 1 - 2, as Rasyid Ilham Farizul finished off a play from the left with a real rocket. 29 minutes into the game, Brian 'Was Born' Reddy came close to leveling the score with a dangerous shot from the center of the area that went just over the bar. Kozmoz was given a free kick 30 minutes into the match after the defenders stopped the counter-attack. Interestingly, the free kick was directed at the area just in front of the keeper instead of at the goal mouth. The attackers were relentless, and after a short struggle with his marker, Torbjørn Do could finally lay the ball to rest behind the keeper. That goal made the score 1 - 3. It was 1 - 3 at the break. With the clock showing 46 minutes, the fourth official held up the substitution board. Chad Thach looked to see that it was his number in red, so he made his way over to the sideline and swapped out for Hwang Teck Fu, though he would have liked to continue. Grilled's Brian 'Was Born' Reddy set up a perfect opportunity for Hwang Teck Fu, but the latter failed to score. The home crowd was briefly mollified when Gústav Thoroddsen reduced the lead to 2 - 3 after a brilliant midfield give-and-go through the middle. Attacking on the wings was the theme of the day for Grilled, and they were successfully passing the ball outside from the middle. Chia Kwang Tse charged down the left and had a wonderful opportunity to score the equalizer for Grilled, but the shot went well wide of the goal. After 75 minutes Grilled were able to score the equalizing 3 - 3 goal when Federico Parada picked up a pass coming in from the right and lofted it past the away team's keeper. Big paper red cards were being held up by the opposing supporters with 77 minutes on the clock after Chia Kwang Tse's mistimed tackle from behind. The referee only showed the Grilled player a yellow card though. Kozmoz were great at switching from defense to attack, and after 82 minutes, Juan de Dios Vega swept through the middle on a fantastic counter-attack, making the score 3 - 4. With the match clock reading 83 minutes, the inexperienced Kozmoz team fell into disarray. As the 89 minute mark approached, the Grilled manager decided it was time for a substitution. Gandhik Chitre reluctantly made way for Chan Ze Han. 89 minutes into the match, the referee signaled for a Grilled substitution. Paulino Trindade came on for Brian 'Was Born' Reddy.
