It was an obvious ambition of C.O.D.E.R to play a wide game with their titanic (15) ability to attack down the wings. C.O.D.E.R's Ray Gurlitt gave the visitors a 0 - 1 lead after 6 minutes with a superb strike from the right. Don Ockenhouse increased the visitors' lead by volleying in a pass from the right. 0 - 2. After 11 minutes Federico Parada started arguing with his teammates...what the...and now he surprises the guest's goalkeeper with a curving free kick! Amazing! That actually worked! This brought the home team closer to tying the score - it's now 1 - 2. 12 minutes into the match, Grilled's Gústav Thoroddsen maneuvered his way around the opposition on the left flank, delighting the crowd with his twists and turns. The effort paid off as the ball found the back of the net, evening the score at 2 - 2. One of many good passes from Ray Gurlitt at the wing was received and skillfully taken care of by Bytautas Narkys, scoring the 2 - 3 goal for C.O.D.E.R. The crowd was on its feet at the 15 minute mark, as Grilled's Gústav Thoroddsen found himself all alone in front of the goal after a dash up the left side. He calmly put away the 3 - 3 equalizer. Gandhik Chitre gave Joe Reece a quick hug as he left the field. Aw Keng Chuan gave Grilled the 4 - 3 lead, as he successfully challenged the guests' central defenders, then placed the ball at the keeper's right post – what a clinical finish! The visitors got just what they'd been looking for after 55 minutes when Ray Gurlitt received a pass from the left and buried it in the bottom corner, leveling it at 4 - 4. With 60 minutes played Joe Reece almost put the home team one ahead on a cross coming in from the right, but the shot went just wide. Big paper red cards were being held up by the opposing supporters with 63 minutes on the clock after Gústav Thoroddsen's mistimed tackle from behind. The referee only showed the Grilled player a yellow card though. After 75 minutes cheers broke out as Brian 'Was Born' Reddy found his way through the guests' central defensive line, rattling the 5 - 4 goal in off the woodwork for Grilled. As the 80 minute mark approached, the Grilled manager decided it was time for a substitution. Brian 'Was Born' Reddy reluctantly made way for Paulino Trindade. It was announced by the fourth official that he estimated stoppage time to be around 3 minutes. This meant there could still be an extra attack or two left in the match! With 90 minutes gone, Grilled's organization began to suffer due to a lack of experience. The match ends 5 - 4. Now to our celebrity commentator for a hot take. Over to you, Snoop! Lim An Keng performed admirably for Grilled. Good thing Dimitris Germanakos isn't a horse, because he'd surely be sent to the glue factory after that performance. The most outstanding C.O.D.E.R player was without a doubt Basílio Brito Lopes. Speaking of stinking up the place, Tabu Chepkemoi sure smelled like the bottom of Batman's shoe after a night of crimefighting in Gotham.
