Arrogancae 4 - 0 Grilled
The manager of Grilled told the press before the game that he was really looking forward to the match. Fairly good weather for football had drawn a crowd of 55930 to
Avengers Apocalypse.
Christopher Schwarz was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Phil McGrath and
Columbus Clarkson. Arrogancae's lineup was:
Bennett -
Pălcuţ,
Meléndez,

ShibilitiSanya,
Isaksen -
Ventura,
Matinlassi.
Grilled fielded:

其材 (Qicai) -

Arrogancae fielded a 3-5-2 lineup. For Grilled Birds, the formation of choice was 2-5-3. Grilled clearly preferred using their divine (+7) (27) ability to attack in the middle. Arrogancae broke through on the left 16 minutes into the game, with
Hugo Jesus Santos firing in from an acute angle to give the home side a 1 - 0 lead.
René Isaksen could have increased the lead after 21 minutes, but his shot hit the post after a nice combination in the middle of the park. Arrogancae's
John ShibilitiSanya made use of his speed to get free of the defence, but he still couldn't get a shot off 24 minutes into the match. Grilled's
Gústav Thoroddsen was shown a yellow card for standing over the ball and blocking an opponent's quick free kick after 32 minutes. Arrogancae's
Daniel Pălcuţ somehow missed a penalty 40 minutes into the match, much to the crowd's displeasure. 1 - 0 was the halftime score. Arrogancae enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 57 percent of possession.
As the 46 minute mark approached, the Grilled coach decided it was time for a substitution.
Chia Kwang Tse reluctantly made way for
Mohd Marzuki Khairul on the pitch. 54 minutes into the match, the visitors' central line of defence had to look on as
René Isaksen broke through, making the score 2 - 0 for Arrogancae. 75 minutes in, Grilled's
Brian 'Was Born' Reddy received a yellow card for going into a challenge studs first.
Oskari Matinlassi increased the lead for Arrogancae to 3 - 0, getting a head onto a hooked ball from the right. The ball looked to have taken a deflection on the way in, but he's claiming it! Central attacks were the recipe of the day for Grilled, as they moved the ball from the wings to the middle with startling regularity. The visitors got a chance to pull one back after 77 minutes, as the home defence went to sleep, leaving
Orest Tokarz completely unmarked in the middle. His strike was pathetic though, and dribbled into the arms of the home side's keeper. Grilled's
Chad Thach was shown a yellow card after 81 minutes for slicing down an opponent.
Arrogancae's
Adam Puławski took a knock to the head after 82 minutes, due to a badly executed header. He took a few uneasy steps, but got dizzy and then taken off the field.
Aare Eld tried to hide a smile as he entered the field. He had not expected to get a chance this day. Arrogancae increased the lead as
Adolfo Meléndez struck to make the score 4 - 0 after an attack from the left left him unmarked in front of the keeper. Grilled's
Orest Tokarz got himself booked for a foul. 89 minutes into the game, Grilled wanted to bring some new energy to their game.
Evandro La Face gave
Chan Ze Han a quick hug as he left the field. After 89 minutes, the Grilled coach wanted to see a new face on the pitch, waving
Orest Tokarz off the field.
Phua Ming Xin took his place. The players were tired, but when the referee announced that there would be 2 minutes of added time they, nonetheless, welcomed the extra opportunity to make an impact. The match ends 4 - 0. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Arrogancae, with 56 percent of the ball.
Arrogancae's top performer was clearly
Oskari Matinlassi.
Adolfo Meléndez on the other hand, had a terrible day. Most important Grilled player was
Gústav Thoroddsen.
Dimitris Germanakos was a disappointment, however.
