Grilled Birds fielded a 2-5-3 lineup. For FC KOSE SUPER 2004, the formation of choice was a 3-5-2. Grilled took the lead 2 minutes in, after Federico Parada's awkward, but ultimately successful, shot from the right. 1 - 0. Cheers filled the stadium as Orest Tokarz broke through the visitors' central defense to put away the 2 - 0 goal for Grilled. Big paper red cards were being held up by the opposing supporters with 13 minutes on the clock after Aw Keng Chuan's mistimed tackle from behind. The referee only showed the Grilled player a yellow card though. Orest Tokarz could have put Grilled up one more, but he fired into the side netting after breaking free on the left after 14 minutes. Enzo Farneti was doing a great job on the wing, sending in a brilliant pass to his teammates in the middle, but Michi Löffel seemed unable to profit from this excellent service. Gústav Thoroddsen should probably have put his team up another goal after 23 minutes, but some great goalkeeping by Jorge Recalde kept the visitors in the game. The cannonball from 35 yards by Mohd Marzuki Khairul of Grilled was an impressive attempt, but didn't make it into the net. The counter-attacks of SUPER were deadly and 31 minutes into the game, Stratos Chatzinikolaou controlled a long pass from the right flank and finished to make it 2 - 1. With 33 minutes played, the visitors could have scored the tying goal after Periklis Patemtzis came through the middle, but his kick went wide. The teams went for the halftime break at 2 - 1. Well, look at this! Cardi B is on the Enormotron in naught but giant sunglasses and a Twisted Metal F.C. tank top. I've not seen anything like it before. Federico Parada was not content with his team's lead, and tried to extend it 47 minutes into the game after a nice run through the middle, but his shot went wide. SUPER tied it all up, 49 minutes in, after a spectacular goal by Enzo Farneti, who miraculously broke through the home side's central defense, making it 2 - 2. After a fine move down the middle Gústav Thoroddsen nearly put the home side one up with 50 minutes played. His final touch escaped him though and the keeper smothered the ball. With the clock showing 70 minutes, the fourth official held up the substitution board. Orest Tokarz looked to see that it was his number in red, so he made his way over to the sideline and swapped out for Evandro La Face, though he would have liked to continue. 70 minutes into the match, the referee signaled for a Grilled substitution. Lim An Keng came on for Chia Kwang Tse. Feeling like a boy about to meet his girlfriend's father for the first time, the inexperienced Grilled struggled to maintain their level of play after 73 minutes. The referee decided to let play continue for an additional 2 beyond the regular 90 minutes. The match ends 2 - 2. Now to our celebrity commentator for a hot take. Over to you, Snoop! The most outstanding Grilled player was without a doubt Gústav Thoroddsen. You can tell it was nickel beer night yesterday at the local bar because Dimitris Germanakos seemed to stumble all over the pitch. Most important SUPER player was Michi Löffel. I can't remember Stefan Aleksijević ever having a worse night than he just had.
