Grilled's prospects wasted little time in going after the jerseys of the opposition players immediately after, while Alcántara watched, smiling ruefully, from the dugout.
"It wasn't quite that long ago that we destroyed the then Lebanese champions, team_psp, nine-nil in the Hattrick Masters." the grizzled old coach reminisced. "I can't say that we have gone forward since then, so Zenit rightly get a measure of revenge."
The unspoken observation that hung over the heads of all present was that while Zenit are undoubtedly going to push on for major honours in the new season, Grilled have in contrast shown no indication that they can make the leap back into the S-League, with their up-and-coming generation remaining horribly inconsistent.
"Well, everybody's improving here, and it's a very young team by higher division standards after all." Alcántara remarked presciently. "Give Stanca some time, I think he's got what it takes to make Grilled challenge for the title soon, and I'm not saying that just because I'm an employee!"
