With 40 minutes played, Grilled put themselves up 3 - 1 when the visiting defenders lost the ball to Dani Spirig, who came up from the left and proceeded to coolly round the keeper and knock the ball home. After 41 minutes piments's Ernst Streiter contracted a slight foot injury, but could finish the game. Subri bin Ku Zainol gave Grilled supporters even more to cheer about when he increased the lead to 4 - 1 after 42 minutes, following a good exchange of passes on the right that the away team failed to deal with. The structure of the game started to change as Grilled decided to pull back and meet their opponents in their own half. Grilled's Mohd Firdaus bin Yaacob was delighted to score the 5 - 1 goal after he saw his shot go between the legs of the advancing goalkeeper and into the net, following some good attacking movement on the right wing after 43 minutes. Ciro Penati should probably have put his team up another goal after 44 minutes, but some great goalkeeping by Sam Rutherford kept the visitors in the game. piments almost scored after a counterattack 45 minutes into the match, but Vili Bogolin took a shot from the left that landed harmlessly in the side of the net. Many in the crowd felt the referee was being too lenient when he only showed piments's Silverio Balzani a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 45 minutes into the game. 5 - 1 was the score after the first half. Grilled enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 52 percent of possession.

Grilled put themselves up 6 - 1 when Subri bin Ku Zainol broke through on the right, leaving the entire defensive box behind him. At that, Subri bin Ku Zainol was noted down for a hat trick.
