Grilled 0 - 4 CFC

ercast weather free of rain made for a crowd turnout of 77436 at The Cooking Pot today. Mario Gimeno Soriano was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Brett Oaks and Husni Lase. All of was shut down for the day, as fans of both clubs came to the derby. Grilled decided to use a 4-5-1 set up. The following players took the field: Abed-Sulaiman - Zywczyn, Spirig, Fredgård, Bona - van Liere, Borup, Kek-Tjiang, Paullin, Jie Siong - Martinsson.

CFC decided to use a 4-5-1 set up. Lineup: Pakiet - Karlsson, Lucchese, Chih-Chien, Mulrain - Boroffka, Thiébeaux, bin Hasan, Leng Li, Molla - Himes.

Counter-attacking seemed to be the preferred strategy of Grilled. Grilled were pushed back, and had many dangerous counterattacks. An impressive one came 15 minutes into the match, but Sylweriusz Zywczyn narrowly missed the free kick attempt that was awarded as a result of a foul. After several obvious shirt pulling incidents, CFC's Miao Chih-Chien got himself booked. It was a fine day for Hendrik-Jan Boroffka on his wing, his cross pass to Jordan Himes was especially delicate 42 minutes into the game, but the keeper saved. CFC's Geppino Lucchese got himself booked for a foul. Grilled were forced to a substitution as Sylweriusz Zywczyn couldn't continue playing due to the rough treatment, forcing Weng Seng-Huat to come in from the sidelines. A mistake by the home side's central defence after 45 minutes allowed Jordan Himes to score the 0 - 1 goal for CFC. With 45 minutes played, CFC put themselves up 0 - 2 after an attack from the right, caused by a defensive blunder. The scorer was Bay Mulrain. After 45 minutes a very unfortunate collision in the penalty area led to Grilled's Fabian Bona being carried off the pitch and replaced by Quah Han Kok. The teams went for the halftime break at 0 - 2. CFC claimed to be the more dominant force in the game, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 57 percent.

The visitors' Bay Mulrain took advantage of an error due to a misunderstanding between the home side's goalie and central backs 62 minutes into the match. 0 - 3 for CFC. Miao Chih-Chien increased the visitors' lead by putting a volley shot away on a pass from the right. 0 - 4. The referee showed Grilled's Terkel Borup the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge. Josef Thiébeaux of CFC was booked for kicking the ball away after the whistle. 88 minutes into the game, CFC worked the left side industriously creating several opportunities to add to their lead, but just couldn't apply the finishing touch. Grilled's Anders Fredgård was shown a yellow card after 90 minutes for slicing down an opponent. This half belonged to CFC, who controlled the ball 60 percent of the time.

Most important Grilled player was Shen Kek-Tjiang. However, Weng Seng-Huat made a disastrous appearance. Most important CFC player was Andrzej Pakiet. However, Daniel Molla made a disastrous appearance. The match ends 0 - 4.
