Joe Reece scored for Grilled putting them ahead 1 - 0, after 5 minutes.
Pau Calleja finished off a quick charge from the left of the field by chipping the ball just past the home side's keeper, making the score 1 - 1 7 minutes into the match. Slack defending gave Grilled a chance to take the lead with 9 minutes played, but
Joe Reece's cross from the left flank was fumbled in front of the goal and easily dealt with by the opposition. The referee showed Controlar's
Hans Hendrik Biskopstø the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge. Many thought
Joe Reece ought to have been awarded a penalty 25 minutes into the game, as he went down trying to dribble around
Pedro Vasco Conceição Correia after a determined run through the middle. After a fine move down the middle
Joe Reece nearly gave the home side a goal after 27 minutes. However the finishing shot went just wide. 28 minutes had elapsed when a great chance for Grilled to take the lead after a good cross from the right found
Phua Ming Xin alone with the keeper, but he chipped it to the wrong side of the post. 1 - 1 was the score after the first half. Grilled claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 61 percent.
After 56 minutes, Controlar's
歐 (Au) 魏利 (Weili) made his way through the middle and nonchalantly placed the ball out of the keeper's reach, putting the visitors up 1 - 2. After 73 minutes,
Joe Reece made a dash down the middle past the away team's defenders to score the goal that made it 2 - 2. Grilled could have put themselves ahead after 75 minutes but
Joe Reece missed a volley shot on a ball coming in from the right. Grilled made a bid to take the lead as a ball coming in on the right hand side left
Brian 'Was Born' Reddy completely alone with keeper

Phua Ming Xin would have preferred to play on, but his coach decided otherwise.
Chan Ze Han entered the game for Grilled as the match clock showed 89 minutes. 89 minutes into the game, Grilled wanted to bring some new energy to their game.
