Moey Xin Seng confessed that Grilled Birds were lucky to get three goals today, and commended the Psyducks for their organization in defence. "Some might say that the referee was on our side, and well, I wouldn't argue for or against that." he said with disarming honesty. "These things tend to balance out over the course of a season though."

The Birds stay in third with the win, as the top half of the table pulled away from the bottom. TeamNigma and Lawrence, KS FC stayed almost neck-to-neck with the former hammering Mayuyu AKB48 4-1 while losing Zach Lee, and LKS FC holding out for a 2-1 over Winnetou Reborn, despite an injury to influential Chilean forward Joaquin Leiva. HEBFC Tonners FC then opened up a four point gap between themselves and Mayuyu in fifth, as Gay An Soon sparked them to a 3-1 win over fc.tower, with two good strikes.

Grilled's concerns remained centered around the condition of their wounded, with Gilbert Webb remaining more than a month from returning to training, and Chan Ze Han planning a return in early October, possibly for the home match against Mayuyu AKB48. "Chan has been an exceptional professional throughout the rehab process." club doctor Ian Chuang noted. "If he doesn't make it back on time, it won't be because of a lack of effort."

Farmer Bunnies would not be able to get their own back against Brighton UK, as the twain played out a boring nil-all draw at Brighton's downtown stadium, before an attendance of over sixty-four thousand. While Brighton had by far the more attempts, the big chances were about evenly split between the teams, with Vitaliy Efendiev denied by Nathan Kim on perhaps the best of those, in the 29th minute.

That was about it for goalmouth action until Andrés Minetti overran a fine pass in the 74th minute, with Lim Su Liang and Mahmoud El Omda both then passing up good opportunities to win it for their respective sides. "It was a hard slog." midfielder Miran Raulj commented. "Maybe we could have been more proactive, but Brighton's back five is nothing to sniff at either."

The result had the Buns stay behind Brighton UK on a single goal in third, with The EV however shockingly registering their first loss of the season to Really McCoys, who won it 2-1 through a buzzing Ryszard Romaniak, five minutes from time. The EV do remain five points clear, and it will take a fair few more upsets, for anyone to catch them.

Grilled International's league disgrace continued as they fell 2-4 to The Sun men at Burung, despite Zaini bin Hj Kaling opening with a magnificent volley taken on the rise, in the 31st minute. They might for once have a valid excuse, however, with goalkeeper Querubim Santos Couto taken out by Eman Naeem early in the contest. Understudy Rosmin bin Hj Khamis would be called into action for his first league appearance, which went about as could be imagined.

That left International stranded in fifth place in IV.54, now six points adrift of Rohan in fourth, after the latter's 0-3 loss to The Coon!. International would again try to make amends with victory in the Battle for Division IV tourney, as they registered a 7-3 smashing of Old Amsterdam. The Sun men would however lose by coincidentally the same scoreline to Hat&Cream, while Yeshua HaMashiach FC played out a 2-2 draw with Orkanger IF, for a 1-1 aggregate tie with IV.34.
