The clouds were hanging menacingly over the stadium today. Starters: Germanakos - Keng Chuan, 其材 (Qicai) - Reddy, Thach, Kwang Tse, Khairul, Trindade - Chitre, Teck Fu, An Keng.

Lineup: Warakagoda - Maldonado, Mellen, Čadil - Surian, Kawilarang, Sümer, Böhlendorff, Offer - Pagkratis, Maffione.

Grilled Birds started the game in a 2-5-3 formation, whereas Beer Piece FC lined up in a 3-5-2. Grilled mostly ignored the flanks in favor of their divine (+10) (30) ability to attack in the middle. Making his way up the middle after 2 minutes, Chad Thach almost managed to sneak a goal past the visitors' keeper, but Prabath Warakagoda was ready and blocked it to keep the score level. 1 - 0 was a funny story: the seemingly nonchalant lob from Grilled's Chad Thach landed at the feet of Gandhik Chitre who sent it into the net - goal! The visitors almost came back with an equalizer 38 minutes into the match after a good combination down the middle, but Bruno Maffione didn't get enough power behind the attempted finish to seriously challenge the keeper. Grilled's 夏 (Ha) 其材 (Qicai) swung in a good chance from the left, but the visitors' defense were able to clear the ball. Piece's Arthur Böhlendorff was shown a yellow card after 40 minutes for slicing down an opponent. Piece showed their counter-attacking skill 42 minutes into the match by breaking through the middle, with Didi Kawilarang scoring an easy goal for 1 - 1. Piece took the lead 43 minutes into the game, making the score 1 - 2 after some elegant movement down the middle. Didi Kawilarang was the scorer. Grilled's Hwang Teck Fu put his head to a high ball coming in from the right after 43 minutes, but the ball went wide. Piece's Giovanni Surian received a ball slotted perfectly through the home side's central defense after 44 minutes, and chipped it past the helpless keeper to increase the lead to 1 - 3. The away fans won't regret traveling for this one! The teams went for the halftime break at 1 - 3. Looks like Nate Silver was right again - his prediction that Grilled would have 55 percent possession in this half was spot on!

The home crowd did not lose faith and cheered their team on as they strove to get back into the game. The fans were rewarded after 62 minutes when 夏 (Ha) 其材 (Qicai) burst forward, 5-holed the central defender and then mischievously lobbed the ball over the advancing goalie to make the score 2 - 3. Definitely a SportsCenter Top 10 candidate – DA-DA-DA! DA-DA-DA! Grilled were determined to attack in the middle, even their wing attacks ended up coming through the center. Grilled put pressure on the visitors' central defense with 65 minutes played, but Lim An Keng couldn't find an opening. After several obvious shirt pulling incidents, Grilled's Chad Thach got himself booked. Grilled's Gandhik Chitre put his head on a fantastic ball lifted in from the left, and scored after 76 minutes to bring the teams level - 3 - 3. With 77 minutes played, Grilled's Mohd Marzuki Khairul received a yellow card for challenging a play with his cleats first. After 80 minutes, Piece put themselves up 3 - 4, as Lampros Pagkratis finished off a play from the left with a real rocket. The referee showed Grilled's Brian 'Was Born' Reddy the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge. 85 minutes into the game, Grilled wanted to bring some new energy to their game. Hwang Teck Fu gave Chan Ze Han a quick hug as he left the field. As the 87 minute mark approached, the Grilled manager decided it was time for a substitution. Paulino Trindade reluctantly made way for Radovan Jaška. Lim An Keng pulled a rabbit out of his hat as he wove through the guest's entire central defense and put the 4 - 4 equalizer away after 87 minutes. After 89 minutes, the Grilled coach wanted to see a new face on the field, waving Mohd Marzuki Khairul off. Teo Chuan Yong took his place. The referee decided to let play continue for an additional 3 beyond the regular 90 minutes. The match ends 4 - 4. Now to our celebrity commentator for a hot take. Over to you, Snoop! Most important Grilled player was Gandhik Chitre. Speaking of stinking up the place, Radovan Jaška sure smelled like the bottom of Batman's shoe after a night of crimefighting in Gotham. Bruno Maffione performed admirably for Piece. Even six year old fans were wincing at the poor play by David Offer today.
