Druidic Lesson

The second day of the Supporter Week Trophy had Grilled spent after prevailing in the first fixture, a 4-2 over Spanish H.A.L Division Five contestants Rejunte de Pelotudos 1906. Bhavya Panigrahi would resume set piece duties with a bang as he completed the trifecta of free-kick goal, corner assist and penalty conversion in the first half alone, as Gandhik Chitre headed off Mamaisa Tydingco's late resurgence.

Algerian III.4 members New Order of Druids then punished the Birds with a super-tight defensive display, with their forwards taking advantage of every opportunity to make it 3-0 by the 37th minute - which was how it stayed. Swiss sixth divisioners FC Conthey 05 then came from behind to recover 4-3, after Aw Keng Chuan had swiped a good left-footed effort home in the 56th minute. Gandhik Chitre would rue some spotty finishing after that, as Conthey won out through strikes from Ivan Pometkov and Eike Woschitz.

Farmer Bunnies would get better through the day instead, as they began on a low note in a 0-2 loss to Dutch H.A.L VI.148 side VFB Edamer. Toh Eng Guang should really have cut out Milan Loos' cross to Cees Jan van der Vinne in the sixth minute, but he did have the excuse of a bandaged thigh; Freddie Boerrigter then added a second three minutes before the break, as late counters saw Amaya Ravula and Tan Dong Hao fail to keep it on target.

A goalless draw against Ukrainian H.A.L VII.1661 club Amats was next, in which the Buns escaped close shaves from Evgeniy Akmaev's rockets early on, before some sad misses by Ong Li Jing and Toh Eng Guang. Gilberto Sorondo was left saving a seemingly sure thing by substitute Itamar Lev-Ari, to save the point. Tan Dong Hao would finally do it in the final game against another Dutch H.A.L representative in FC de Leeuwen, as he squeezed a cheap free-kick into the net before the wall was set up, four minutes from time.

Grilled International split their results too, beginning with a terrible 0-4 defeat to Brazilian Division Five opponents AFCA Brazil. They appeared to have escaped with a flattering 0-2 after stumbling through much of the second half alongside some poor composure in front of goal by the AFCA Brazil players, but Polish striker Emil Ołubek was not having any more of that, as he recorded another goal and an assist in the final minutes.

A win against Argentine VI.987 side Lomas de Zamora FC was next, but even that was in doubt as Liraz Natan answered Arcadi Sansalvador's nineteenth minute scramble home from a free-kick, in the 79th. It could have gotten embarassing as Natan then hit the crossbar, but Chua Jun Long and Zaini bin Hj Kaling swooped in to save the day there.

International's final obstacle would be French VI.386 club balibari football club, and it was all going well for Leri Bezhanishvili in particular, as the 18 year-old Georgian put them two up, and nearly had a hat-trick in the 42nd. A genius interception and return by Manuel Summo saw Pierre-Marie Laurendeau close the gap on the ensuing free-kick, however, and balibari equalized through Səməd Vəliyev's trickery, before clamming up in response to Éric Létienne getting sent off.
