Filitheyo Drawn

The S-League rose to 112th of 528 leagues in the top-level World Battle, as Sarcastic Fringeheads also won their fixture, 5-2 against former Zafírový pohár winners TJ Tatran Oravský Biely Potok. The EV on the other hand would go down 1-2 against a chance-creating Uzovské Pekľany, but it wouldn't matter by then.

Moey Xin Seng was already looking ahead to Sunday's clash, right after striding off the pitch. "Haha were the only other team to take a point off us before Fringeheads, we know well just how hard they can be to score against. It's all up in the air."

Farmer Bunnies did their job representing II.1 too, although their 2-0 shutout of Dresden Lions proved to be the league's only win against the Welsh II.2. Arcturules and Tecos Foreign Legion got score draws against Celtic Eryr F.B. 1875 and Yaak & Boing Sponsor Gloop & Gleep respectively, while Marina Sailors fell 1-4 to The Reliant Regals, and Phantasm Hotspurs 2-3 to Hippos Cariad despite a brave late rally following Rhys Hewitt's red card.

There was nothing too flashy about the Buns' game, as usual, with Christophe Fouche laying the foundation on a successful right-wing counterattack in the 26th minute. Although the Welsh team peppered Vivian Grubenmann's goal, next to none of the attempts seriously troubled the goalkeeper, and their best moment was probably Prys Hookway's wild dribble in the 38th minute, that got him past four men only to waste it. Mushtag Al-Nameeri added a second in the 71st minute, to seal the win.

Grilled International's fall from grace would be extended with a 1-1 away draw at bottom club Filitheyo Graveyard Kickers, though with the faint excuse of an early Tommy Dongelmans knee injury. Chua Jun Long proved largely ineffective as a right wing replacement, and although Fausto Perono twisted a superb free-kick home in the 44th minute, International would throw it away by conceding to Piergiuseppe Piovani in the second half.

This was definitely not what the International set were expecting, after being crowned league champions last season, and there have been increasingly many rumours about Norwegian head coach Roar Olaisen having lost the board's favour. Olaisen himself was nowhere near his usual open self, which only lent fuel to these suppositions.
