Magical Darkness
Razgui Razzle
Belgian Division Five club BlackMagic wove a spell over their Singaporean visitors, as they suffocated all of Grilled's attacking intent with a sweeper system, before picking the optimal moments to strike with Grilled's spirits blunted.
Much of their strategy revolved around sweeper Marcel Pham, who could have been given a free role seeing as to the number of times he made an appearance up top; He was certainly more visible than their nominal targetman, Nicolas Clement.
Pham's first effort was well saved by Huel-sheng, who once again denied the defender after 16 minutes by plucking the ball out from between his feet. Grilled's best look in came in the 33rd minute with Pham camping in the attacking half, as the other defenders conspired to let Hobson through. Unfortunately, the Englishman didn't even test Lansbergen with his lame effort.
Pham then put BlackMagic ahead with a dazzling run in the next minute, as Clement headed the goal-kick into space, and Clement was again a key figure in their 64th minute goal as he knocked a corner kick down to the pompously-named Rafael Rascon Ortega Razqui.
The hosts led a charmed life as all of Grilled's strikes mysteriously missed their target, but they might have had to pay the price for it as midfielder Gisbert Grinwis collapsed in a heap for no apparent reason in the 79th minute.
