Herron immediately set off using their skill at pressing their opponents. The structure of the game started to change as Herron decided to pull back and meet their opponents in their own half. Herron's Shu Chit-Fu got himself booked for a foul. Grilled were forced to a substitution as Ola Martinsson couldn't continue playing due to the rough treatment, forcing Ulf Hjortlind to come in from the sidelines. Shu Chit-Fu was, after 49 minutes, almost able to extend the visitors' lead with a well placed diving header after the ball had looped into the centre, but home side's keeper Ahmed Abed-Sulaiman made the save. The game was close to savage at times, and Herron's Gert-Marijn Vogels received a second yellow card after 53 minutes, his ticket out of the game. After 64 minutes Shen Kek-Tjiang could have reduced the lead with a blistering strike from the left wing, had it not been for an excellent block by the visitors' keeper. Herron's Håkan Ingesson refused to leave the field after injuring his achilles tendon after 82 minutes. A corner kick created great disorder in the penalty area with a goal nearly scored by Cao Wai-Kin. At last, Grilled's Fabian Bona was able to shove the ball in. 1-2. Some fine manoeuvring on the left led to a Herron goal after 86 minutes, making it 1 - 3. Anders Eriksson was noted down as the scorer. Grilled held the ball, with a clear 53 percent of possession.

Grilled's best player was Ahmed Abed-Sulaiman. Dani Spirig on the other hand, had a terrible day. Herron's best player was Abd Rauf Mohd Nadzir. However, Othman bin Ib Berahim made a disastrous appearance. The match ends 1 - 3.
